Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

Well, I made my booking (i.e. "registration") for this weeks 3 night stay in SYD on the 24/05/2024 at 19:11 - well before I got my confirmation email for the offer (25/05/2024 12:11).

Technically my booking is during the period the offer period. I'm not going to contact them, I'll roll the die and see what happens. My crystal ball tells me an email is on the cards at some stage

Well, technically from the T&C's posted above I tick all the boxes..... how that plays out is in the hands of Accor. I didn't register before the booking, however my boolean logic has me as meeting the requirements. That being said, I can't see the T&C's and have no idea what an 'Eligible Stay' is. Again, will wait to see what happens.

To participate in the Accor Live Limitless Gold status fast track offer, you must be:
  • a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, Tick
  • link your Qantas Frequent Flyer and Accor Live Limitless accounts, Tick
  • register for the promotion (the registration must be made prior to the hotel stay), and Tick
  • make an Eligible Stay of 3 nights or more at hotels participating in the Accor Live Limitless Loyalty program Tick

The registration and the Eligible Stay must be made between 12:01am on 23 May 2024 and 11:59pm on 31 December 2024.
Tick

Fingers crossed it works for you.

I didn’t look too hard but I couldn’t see anything explicitly saying that the booking has to be made after registration (but that was my assumption based on past Accor promos).

The registration page has the the following prior to registering:

Maybe that’s why I subconsciously book flex rates with Accor and only lock in prepaid (if required) closer to the actual stay.
If you have access to competitive flexible rates (eg corporate rates) this is a good way to ensure you get the best price too - I'll often cancel and rebook a few times before a stay if prices go down!

Ahh Accor, of course, different clarifying criteria across T&C's, emails and the website. The registration pages adds in additional temporal conditions.
That throws a spanner in the works for my interpretation.
I still find it intrgiung that I can't actually get to the link beyond the:
Simply book one night with us, and your account will be credited with many more Status nights
Click here to find out more

My email says one, T&Cs say 3, registration screen say 3... Consistently inconsistent, yet not unexpected.
Appears I will need to be in MEL the week after next for 2-3 nights anyway, so if it is 3 nights post registration I'll tick it over then.
Clear as mud... again

….just wait until someone complains that they weren’t eligible because they booked via QF Hotels…

Soo... existing GOLD can retain gold until 2025 if we register and stay ?? Nights? I'm so confused. My gold is expiring 30th November 2024

With many programs, Eligible stay means booking direct, not through third party such as QF or Amex. Not sure with this offer. It should be defined on the site somewhere…

It‘s a Gold Fastrack for Silver or below. It’s ambiguous what’s on offer for existing Gold members. One thing suggests 10 status nights after 5 nights. Which would provide Silver status - worse case. Another interpretation is bonus nights per paid night 🤷‍♂️.
My gold is expiring 30th November 2024
Shouldn’t it be expiring 31 Dec 2024? Or is that an A+ thing?

Yeah, really confusing.

I think so. the app it says
"You are a Accor Plus Gold Member until 30/11/24"

Others will confirm, but I believe renewing A+ will extend your Gold another year anyway?

But if you’ve had a few stays already and new bookings to come, this promo could help some nudge towards Platinum (based on nights).

I think I can answer a couple of questions.

1. i booked before the start of the promotion but, luckily for me, I stayed during it and have received my 30 nights.

2. My gold membership is valid until 31/12/2025
Cool. Presumably you weren’t Gold previously? Congrats none the less.

Unfortunately, Accor are notorious (for want of a better phrase) to only recognise bookings made during the offer period.

Hilton and IHG (probably others) usually recognise existing bookings for promos.

Maybe that’s why I subconsciously book flex rates with Accor and only lock in prepaid (if required) closer to the actual stay.
Thanks for this. Looks like I'll have to cancel and rebook (and thankfully I normally book flexible rates as well).
I guess I should also have noted the stay I had/will have will be 2 nights.

One other thing that comes to mind on that note - does the promo require a stay of 3 continuous nights at the same hotel, or will either of these combos work also as long as all hotels stayed at are part of the ALL program and the stays are within the validity period:
* 2 nights at one hotel, 1 night at a different hotel
* 1 night at three different hotels

Also there is a line at the end of the promo page:

Existing Gold members will receive 10 status nights with five nights stay.

So at least something for Gold members + with the 20 nights from Accor Plus that means another year of Gold.

Platinum is still the sweet spot though and that is harder... wish they had a double nights promo haha
