Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

Hi brains trust, I am looking at ways to secure Platinum as an A+ member. I need 4 more nights before the end of the year and have already booked in my free night stay. I am not sure if work will allow me to book in one last business trip for the year, so does anyone have any tips? Am I best to simply book a few nights in the cheapest local accommodation for me to tick over to Platinum (Melbourne)? Does Ibis Budget count towards nights stayed?

Your one night free stay - charge something to your room (a beer perhaps) and it should count.

Most Ibis Budget hotels count too.

Some Ibis Budget will count but not all of them. Best to check their hotel page, if you see the block telling you what you'll get as a member including status nights, you're good.

I fake spent last night in the IBIS Budget at Olympic park - $62 plus 8% cashback.

Went and checked in, picked up my arrival gift, dirtied the room and left....

Its the last night I need for Plat and my next booking is at Sofitel in Brisvegas with the wife for a few nights so wanted Plat for the the free brekky and lounge access whilst there...

Seemed a cheap price to pay given lounge rooms are horrendous and buying lounge access is $95 a day.

Did you return the room key?

Look for some short notice "red hot rooms".

For example I see Mantra Jolimont at $80 per night this Sunday and/or Monday.

Do not hesitate they are there now, but they may be gone tomorrow or even later tonight.
