Accor Fast Track to Silver/Gold/Platinum

Nights still count if you have something on the folio... Charge something to the room, or don't offset the whole stay, just make sure that if you do #2, you pay at least 11% of the rate in cash, because they don't count tax in their status calculations, so 10% of the room rate is effectively ignored
I was thinking of paying half the rate in ALL points and half in cash over 4 nights, that should count right?

As hoped for:
I'm going to be making use of this to score an additional SNU this year - so I figured I'd share the math with everyone:
  • Monthly Absolute = R$650 ($172 AUD) - 50% = $86 AUD for 1 month. Points value is ca $162.15 + 1,000 status points
  • Quarterly Absolute = R$1680 ($445 AUD) - 30% = $312 AUD for 3 months. Points value is ca $486.45 + 3,000 status points
  • Annual Absolute = R$6720 ($1781 AUD) - 15% = $1514 AUD for 12 months. Points value is ca $2432 + 12,000 status points
For my purposes, I am going to go with the quarterly sub once my subscription expires on the 30th. That should hopefully (if I can time the renewal to be same day) give me 2,000 more status points by end of the year and an additional SNU for just a small amount more than the monthly sub x 2 months. If I can't get it to resubscribe same day, I'll just go with a single monthly renewal in Dec to earn 1,000 as I'm close enough to 22,000 that I could get there with existing bookings.

I think this one is -15% ? Should be around 1500 AUD I believe
You're right, thought I might be able to fix it before anyone noticed my challenged arithmetic but you were too quick for me 😅

An interesting tidbit is that in Nov 2023, the exchange rate from BRL to AUD was around 0.31, today it is 0.27. The discounted price last year with the 15% off Annual rate was $1755 AUD, whereas it is now $1514 AUD. Essentially last year's discounted price is equivalent to paying full price in 2024, which makes this offer even better value this year.

All we need is the EUR to surge vs the AUD (next year, once I've gotten all my status points for 2024 please) and we'd be laughing. Not sure I'm a huge fan of a loyalty program which is somewhat akin to day trading forex swaps but it does add some interesting angles to points collecting I guess.

Wasn't there some issue with combining ALL Signature with Accor Plus? I thought you couldn't have both, or have I got the wrong idea?

With the discount and the current exchange rates it's certainly looking like a great offer. I'm staying at Accor properties most of the time these days anyway, so may as well get them at a steep discount.

I was doing the calculation myself to see if I should go with yearly or monthly. The difference is BR 448. But commitment of $1500 at once rather than spreading. Which should I go for? Haizzzz

You only get a discount on the first payment - ie first month for monthly, first quarter for quarterly or for the whole year for annual. From my calculation, quarterly is exactly annual / 4, whereas monthly multiplied by 12 is BR 1020 more than annual. If you were going for an interval less than 12 months at a time, you'd likely be better with a quarterly vs monthly subscription.

But anything less than annual will end up being a lower discount over 12 months than the 15% off of 12 months. Here's some 12 month equivalent costs:
  • Monthly: BR 10,725 after 50% discount on Month 1
  • Quarterly: BR 8,568 after 30% discount on Quarter 1
  • Annual: BR 5,712 after 15% discount
