Yeah, I know.

I was 600 under 14,000 bc I was waiting for my final 1,000 status points of 2024 to post to get me across the line, but they landed on 2/1/25. The issue is I only received 11,000 status points from ALL in 2024 and I should have received 12,000. Something happened in Feb 2024 that changed the date of points landing. I didn't get any points in 02/24.

Waiting for points that had consistently (since March) posted a month late?

I don't understand why you were surprised that the points posted in Jan - nothing in the intervening 9 months pointed to any other outcome?

As an aside - you were aiming to get Platinum for a for a Hotel chain that you don't use - or used for a maximum of 1400 points - which is not a lot of staying at Accor?

Maybe a lot of future bookings that Plat will be a benefit for?

I hadn't noticed the discrepancy between the Feb points being posted in March and no posting in Feb, until I didn't renew at Platinum. I then took a closer look at why I didn't get the 12,000 status points.

I knew 1,000 points were posted monthly, so I (wrongly) assumed the 12,000 were covered, and I was focused on getting across the line with my paid bookings. I was Hilton Gold, so I mostly used Hiltons this year.

I pay on the 29th of each month, so I thought the December payment would back apply the points, but they assigned the SC to Jan.

And yes, I was planning a big year of Accor bookings this year at Plat level, starting with 2 weeks in Vietnam in March - all Accor bookings.

Still undecided. Going to decide before the VF points increases on Jan 20 as I need to book SIN-HAN, SGN-SIN award flights with SQ.

The other fly in the ointment is I didn’t make Platinum with Accor due to a technicality with the dates status points are applied. Trying to see if I can get it resolved before I book my hotels. Not holding my breath.

If we go ahead I’ll update you with full itinerary and hotels soon.
