They've got the most hotels, their rates are often the cheapest, and the benefits of status aren't bad. Now maybe I'm not the target audience for Platinum or Accor+. After all, I'm the type who would book a red hot room at the ibis Sydney Darling Harbour for $100 then use my Platinum benefits to get free breakfast and an upgrade.

I dare say you are part of the target audience!

I know some folks will point out that Accor has hotels in North America, but I mean c'mon finding one there is like finding a Ritz Carlton in Australia.
