That's returning a fixed value of 0.66c per CBA point (2000 ALL points = 40 euro = 3.3c AUD per ALL point / 5)

Pretty easy to extract more than 1.3c value per VA point so I don't think the ALL redemption route is particularly good value.

Same here. I like the drinks vouchers and would go out of my way to secure more if I believe I am entitled(under T&C) to more.

You are so lucky in getting someone who works in 5 star hotel making a rookie mistake of not writing the expiry date. I never got one single voucher without the expiry date(or even the room number) written on the vouchers.

I just found this thread and find it interesting. I am Accor Plus Silver, and don't book hotels enough to ever likely rise higher in status. Nevertheless, I find the membership excellent value. In March I stayed at the Novotel Darling Harbour for three nights, the first being my "free" night. Yes, only one set of drink vouchers, although the receptionist said we could use them at any time. The best value was 50% off meals! We therefore had 2-for-1 breakfasts each morning, and a wonderful dinner one night that would have been quite expensive. "Happy Hours" was also an good reason to stay there. My previous stay in Sydney was the Sofitel Darling Harbour, again using my "free" night. I am pretty sure I only received a 25% discount on my solo breakfast. Even when I stay at member hotels booked as part of a tour (APT, Trafalgar, etc), I receive my drink vouchers and welcome gift. Just not the points, which I knew would not be applied.

When travelling, I regularly now dine at Accor properties to make use of the member dining discount.

The dining discount is 25% off food for one diner, 50% off if two, 33% for three and so it goes.

Now with the 20 free status nights getting to gold is quite achievable. However, in my experience the gold benefits over silver are minimal and not worth chasing.

Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't aware of this new benefit.

(Small gripe: as a mostly solo traveller, why only 25% off by myself, but 50% off when dining with another person? Is this really fair? But I do appreciate any discount really.)

Member for a day certificates aren't that new..
I suspect when the program re-brands it will move to a flat-rate discount.

I think with all the exceptions now in play, the whole program will. Just my thoughts.

No limit in Australia, NZ and Fiji - but for 50% off, you'll need one Accor Plus membership card or Member for a Day certificate for every two diners.

In theory one Accor Plus member could request three member for a day certs and get 50% off for a group of eight.

I have done this myself for a group of six at Tayim a few years back and it was no problem. (unfortunately Harbour Rocks Hotel has now exited Accor)

Usual caveats to check for blackout dates and other dining exceptions.

Yes, you'll have booked and paid in advance. You just won't be able to take advantage of the dining benefit during your stay once your membership has lapsed.

I have another question. I'm trying to sign up for Accor + so I've just let my All + Voyager lapse as I had it in Europe (, but it's not so useful now I am back in APAC.(My All+ Voyager lapsed today). But I am still having trouble joining Accor +.

I have All Signature also, and I've seen a bunch of other Accor + people confirm they do have All Signature as well with no problem. So, do I need to pause my Signature subscription, then get Accor +, then resume Signature? I mean do I need to add signature onto an existing Accor + account, or can I join Accor + with my All Signature?

Does anyone know??

I’ve got Accor Plus but I’ve never seen anything appealing with any of these other programs such as Signature. Doesn’t seem to have any benefits for me personally

I personally DO like Signature. It is really only beneficial if you know you will spend more than the membership fees in accommodation each year. (I have the monthly one at the moment but would prefer to sign to the annual if a discount come along again.)

simple pros:
1. What I pay per month I essentially get back in reward points.
2. I get extra reward points every 4 months and every year.
3. I get status points bringing me closer to SNUs.

simple cons:
1. you are committing to spend a certain amount (cost of the membership) and more (see point 2), on your bookings each year.
2. Can pay for stays with the reward points, but not if registered for a promo, so spend commitment for the year will actually be higher than the membership fees.

For me, I like it. I think it's a take it or leave thing. I want to stick with it for sure though if I am able. I like getting the bonus reward & status points

Just waiting for Accor plus to sort out my membership - that's my priority membership.

Yes, you'll have booked and paid in advance. You just won't be able to take advantage of the dining benefit during your stay once your membership has lapsed.

Not trying to throw the cat amongst the pigeons here... but, I've seen referenced on another A+ chat group that supposedly there are occasions where guests who no longer hold Accor Plus membership at the time of checking in (which is per the terms), were asked to pay a difference to the best available rate. Maybe that wasn't a pre-paid rate (I assume all RHRs are though?), but it's not clear from the basic terms that your booked RHR rate is protected, if checking in after your membership expires. I'd be wary of it.
