That's where I'm looking. I have number recorded on my phone and its the same as my new gold status card in the app.

Join Accor Plus after you attain Plat IMO.

what's the reason for that? The 20 status nights don't mean anything when you're plat (do they), do they give you something else in compensation? What's the reasoning there?

Just one other thing... which has been covered before in the thread, but not in response to your query. It's on the question of there being 'Any advantage in joining Accor+ later in the year', and the answer to this one is generally "Yes", and it's to do with how status is assessed for A+ members, at the end of their A+ membership year.

For the main program, Accor ALL status is determined based on what you achieve in the calendar year - either on status nights, or or status points (spend). Whatever you attain or retain in that calendar year is carried over until the end of the following calendar year.

What A+ does is to carry over your ALL status from the current OR previous year into the following year, until your membership year ends. If you attain Platinum in 2024, you hold it throughout 2025 as standard, but if you join or extend A+ in late 2025, it carries across the 2024 attained status to your A+ membership year end in late 2026. This is why a membership year ending late in the year is good... effectively you only need to retain status every second year. I currently have an August year end on my A+ Platinum membership, but plan to cancel and rejoin in mid December, so I can take full advantage of this, and mix it up a bit more in the 'off' years.

Some reasons you might look to do it earlier on would be to get earlier access to the free night, dining or room discounts, or the 20 status nights, if needed prior to the later months in the year. You'd need to weigh the benefits on your needs and wants.

Because it extends your status. If you time it right you effectively get Plat for 2 years

For some reason I was reading 7th digit as being the last.


OK, my ADV+ Silver card has a 4 as its 7th digit, it is now a 5 which matches @sudoer's table.

The last digit did change - from a 6 to a 3, but I presume that's a check-digit. All other digits are the same.

Nothing will happen, beyond the terms… and your choices are three:

1) renew in July and get Platinum status from the +20 A+ nights on renewal at/around that time… status is secured through 2025 at a minimum, and out to July 2026 with A+ renewal in 2025.

2) renew latest you can ahead of your stay in October and get Platinum status from the +20 nights on renewal at/around that time (allow a week for processing)… status is secured through 2025 minimum, and out to October 2026 with A+ renewal in 2025.

3) [assuming you don’t need or can forego Platinum access for the October stay] renew in December and get Platinum status from the +20 nights on renewal at/around that time… status is secured through 2025 minimum, and up to a December 2026 with A+ renewal in 2025; almost a full 12 months of extra status.

By the way I'm pretty sure the 7th number always changes with status level, it's somehow connected to the below. I have seen myself listed as "D6" on many Accor breakfast guest lists.

An interesting list you have there, my card (Gold Accor+) currently displays as xx_xx_5 xx_xx_3A 5. Doesn't line up exactly, but more or less there, just reversed.

That’s very interesting. My Accor + renewal date is Feb 2025, and I should be platinum by the end of this year. Am I right that if I let Accor + lapse then rejoin in December, my platinum will automatically extend to the end of 2026?

Just back from a winter break in CNS and Port Douglas where I started as a Silver and came back with Platinum. Not sure how that happened but not complaining. I was on 28 Status Nights and had activated the Qantas Fast Track.

I will take advantage of the benefits for an Asian vacation in September/October and any incidental stays until February '25 but I have a couple of questions.

I have already pre-booked (and often pre-paid) all my accommodation at good rates in Asia, including in HKG. Do you have to use your Suite Upgrades as you make a new booking or can you use them on Check-in (subject to availability)? If the former, could I ring and change the booking to activate the vouchers without loosing the pre-paid rate (and the money)? I guess I could try.

If I cancel my Accor+ in late November/December, it says I lose all Status nights and points. Then I could immediately re-join for another year to get a new 20 nights and the free night for a long trip in May and another in September. Is that a sound decision as someone quite new to Accor? Any downside except losing status from November to February?
