Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Signed up yesterday afternoon (BRL 5,712; AUD 1,475). Paid with my credit card as my prepaid card didn't work. Received my first batch of the points within 10 minutes.

It's actually worse than booking 9 more nights this month. You need to complete the stays this month, not just book.
Yes sorry, I worded that poorly. That's why I discounted it as an option immediately.

Looking at the Signature now .... pity there aren't bonus nights associated with that!

Have to admit I've never actually used ALL points before and don't know what they are worth .... off googling I go ....

Is it possible that you are trying to pay using something other than a traditional credit card? I’ve read that prepaid type cards will not work [for the ALL Signature subscription]
This error is occurring before the payment screen. It occurs when I attempt to validate the discount code.

i think it is either
a) the coupon allocation has sold out
b) IT error
if its the latter then maybe their IT team will fix it when they get back to work on Monday morning brazil time

I too have the same error at the check out page. The validation of the code is still effective until end of 2nd Dec Brazil time. Will give it a bit more time, hoping it's IT issue.

For those who have been playing along at home with more than one Accor Plus Membership with different expiry dates.

As per call centre suggestion last week, tried to merge 2 accounts online yesterday - being 1 December.
Only able to send a message and received a reply this morning to forward both account numbers, which I promptly did.
With no response @ 3 hours, I called up and the Agent was able to do it over the phone in 5 minutes.
All bookings, status nights, points correct and can happily head off on our holiday.
Data point : you have to wait till your A+ account expires, they close that off and you take on the newer account #.

Let's hope it's the latter (although hope is fading).

May have missed the boat

Maybe, let's hope not as the date is still valid.

I've just tried again without luck.
I agree that it should last until the end of the 2nd Brasilia time.

I had sent Accor an email and waiting for their IT Team to look into it. fingers Crossed

If that's the case and I have to pay full price, I might as well until next month and not pay for the extra month of status. I'm hoping that this isn't the case but am extremely doubtful.
Status is based on calendar year, so unless you need the 1,000 status points for 2024 to get over a threshold, or wanted to commence receipt of the rewards points you are paying for, then you’re definitely better off waiting (assuming no discount)

Agreed, @dairyfloss: thank you for the confirmation.

Does anyone know when the Accor Signature points land each month on a yearly sub? is it a certain date each month, random or the anniversary date each month?

It should be monthly on the day that you signed up (eg the 30th in my case) but there is some variance. I posted about it recently, I tend to see it range from the 30th to the 2nd/3rd, I am not sure what the factor that causes the delay is.

I signed up on the 30th of November so if Dec credits as Jan 2025 then I can start chasing Platinum

This one is a big unknown for me. I am not sure if Accor has the concept of activity date like other programs do. I have a hotel stay which ends Dec 31 this year and I did a bit of research and it was suggested that if the stay ends before 31 Dec 2024 Paris time, that it would credit in 2024, however I have never seen a hotel stay credit the same day under ALL so I really don't know which year it will be credited to.

Anyone else happen to know?
