Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Anyone else happen to know?
Actually I think I can answer this for myself. I see that my recent stay which was credited yesterday has the date of check out as the activity date, and I know this is common for Accor, because I often have to scroll down to find stays that have been credited because they show up as check out date so they don't always appear at the top of the statement list.

This is not the same as ALL signature in my experience. If it posts late, the activity date is the day it posts, eg:

vs one that posts on time:
1733204245204.png

So my guess would be if it posts later than 31/12, it will credit to 2025.

This one is a big unknown for me. I am not sure if Accor has the concept of activity date like other programs do. I have a hotel stay which ends Dec 31 this year and I did a bit of research and it was suggested that if the stay ends before 31 Dec 2024 Paris time, that it would credit in 2024, however I have never seen a hotel stay credit the same day under ALL so I really don't know which year it will be credited to.

Anyone else happen to know?
It will be counted in the year of your checkout date (local time of the hotel)

I will make diamond with a stay on 26/12. However the last couple of stays I have had I needed to chase up the reward points. If they do not post by 31/12 can I reach Diamond retrospectively? This is the only year I will get near it so I do not want to miss out. Thanks for your help

Ok as I’m about 4000 points from Platinum before year end I decided to subscribe to ALL Signature just now. Let’s hope the 5000 points get credited before year end.

Signature gets you 1000 status points and 5000 reward points per month. Only the former goes towards status qualification.

They should post fairly quickly, but as it is 5,000 Reward Points it won't help toward Platinum.
There is also 1,000 Status Points that will post, but that will still leave you 3,000 points short.

lol you’re right I got the points and realized I’m still 2573 status points short.

Any other ideas on how to get those 2573 status points before year end?

Spend about AUD $1,055 exclusive of taxes on accommodation and dining / ancillary in a short stay at a fully particpating ALL property before the 31st? :)

Yes - so long as the checkout date is on or before the 31st December, they will be applied to the 2024 status year, even if credited to the account later on

What about joining ALL Plus Ibis or ALL Plus Voyageur? Would they help?
How many status nights do you have? If you have at least 30 then you can buy another 30 from ALL Plus China.

If you already have Accor Plus you cannot join Ibis and Voyageur anyway. It wont let you.

Interestingly, I still don't have my first lot of ALL Signature points 4 days after renewal on the 30th. Anyone else still waiting? I did expect a few days but I didn't expect it to take this long.

My Accor plus at the moment is a separate account. I’ve yet to merge them.
If that’s the case, and you have at least 40 nights already on that main non-Plus account, you could join Accor Plus (Asia Pacific) on the main account, and not bother with merging the separate / other account into it (until later, anyway). That should work to get you to >=60 status nights

Okay I only have 17 status nights. So I need 43 more nights. Can I get both ALL China 30 and ALL Voyageur 20 to make up the 50 nights? Still cheaper than spending over $1k when I don’t need to.

Update - according to this, looks like I can.

Second update - Accor just merged my Accor Live with my Accor Plus - lol - so I don't think I can subscribe to Accor Plus Ibis/ Voyageur/ China now...

You could never stack ALL Plus Voyageur or ALL Plus Ibis with Accor Plus Asia Pacific, anyway. As I understand it, the ones you can ‘stack’ are:

- Accor Plus Asia Pacific (20 nights)
- ALL Plus China (up to 30 nights)
- ALL Signature Brazil (up to 1K status points per month)

It’s quite a bit of effort, though, if you are only staying limited nights a year, or staying in properties that don’t have a [decent] executive lounge, so just be sure the [free breakfast] juice is worth the squeeze!

Cheers,
Matt.

You're probably right - the boss (my wife) already nixed the idea of spending $1k just to get Platinum status - cheaper to pay for the breakfasts - I'm already Gold Accor Plus, so probably not worth the effort.
Keep in mind too many Accor Plus rates sometimes include breakfast in the rate. So it might be useful going back at your bookings to see how many of them included breakfast. With that said there are other benefits like lounge access and suite night upgrade certificates. With that being said all of these benefits aren’t helpful unless you use them. Four suite night upgrades or upgrades to be used you need to be staying somewhere nice like a Sofitel or Pullman. I’d also encourage you to audit all of the travel you take and think about where you should hold loyalty (if any) be it hotels or with airlines.

In my case the only reason why I have Accor Platinum is that Accor has the hotels I want to stay at. Often times for me these bookings are made at ibis hotels where the Accor+ rate is easily under $125/night. Although I do travel for business most of my stays are personal with quite a few nights being staycations with my partner (my favourite hotel is ibis Sydney Darling Harbour which can often be had in that ~$100/night range). However, next year I’ll be moving abroad and will need to reconsider this. Perhaps Accor no longer offers the cheapest hotels and I’ll need to jump ship to Marriott or Hilton (for those curious you can often status match over to these programs with minimal stays). Same thing with airlines by the way, I earned Platinum Qantas status last year but didn’t bother re-qualifying this year, instead accepting the drop down to Gold, as it didn’t make sense to fly Qantas or its partners to the places I was going to (e.g., Brazil and Canada). I plan on keeping Gold next year as it is a nice sweet spot and not too hard to retain given the things I’ve got stacked up there.

- Accor Plus Asia Pacific (20 nights)
- ALL Plus China (up to 30 nights)
- ALL Signature Brazil (up to 1K status points per month)

Ok I’ve gone ahead and stacked all three above and just got upgraded to Platinum. Didn’t really need Signature so will cancel that at some point maybe.

Thanks everyone for your advice.
