Over a year, you can get to Platinum with either ALL Signature via SCs, or ALL China via SNs. My thinking is that ALL Signature costs double that of ALL China, so why enrol for both?
I agree that the status benefit when it comes to ALL Signature is a bit diluted - you earn reward points, using those reward points results in no status points (unless you offset only some of the room cost), and once you get to plat with night stays you can't get any further - diamond is status points only. If you wanted to get past plat, you'd have to spend quite a bit of cash.
The real benefit of ALL Signature is in the point redemption value vs money paid. You essentially end up with near $1,000 of bonus reward credit at the end of the year. If Plat is as high as you aspire, then you can use the ALL Signature points to book stays and enjoy your platinum benefits achieved through the other subscriptions.
For future reference for what it's worth - qualifying via the 20 and 30 night benefits at the start of the year would give you the greatest value, as you'd get to plat early in 2024 and it would continue through 2025. ALL Signature status points are drip-fed so you don't get the same upfront benefit there. That said, renewing Accor Plus at the end of the year carries the status on for another year.
The absolute best combination of status achievement boost to Plat would probably be:
- Accor Plus in Jan of year 1
- China in Jan of year 1
- Earn 10 nights organically ASAP to get Plat from the start of Year 1 and through Year 2
- Cancel Accor Plus so it doesn't renew Jan 1 of Year 2
- Resub Accor Plus Dec of Year 2 so Plat carries on into Year 3
With the above, there's not a whole lot of benefit derived from ALL Signature, but if I were to use it, I'd use it thus:
- Subscribe whenever, accrue reward points and 12,000 status points across the year if maintained
- Generally, don't collect status points as you're using reward points for bookings, however if you book red hot rooms or use your SNUs you are not able to pay with points so you'll be using cash and earn status points from those
- If you happen to pass 18,000 status points, you get another SNU out of it
