Accor Plus / Platinum, seeking advice

I have done this in the past with no issues. Last time was a 5 night stay at ibis budget in KL. Just check in as usual, no need to say anything, no need to put the DND sign up. Come back in 5 days to check out as usual. Points/stay credited in the usual manner.
Thanks. I think I will follow dairyfloss’s suggestion because I do not want the housekeeping services to get suspicious.

Sorry, Accor Travel Professionals rates (exclusive to travel agents) there is a rate called Accor STEP rates which offers these perks and discounts but are exclusive to agents.

STEP booking is similar to FHR booking under Amex Platinum/Centurion Charge travel benefits but you can booked through any STEP accredited travel agent. I searched the internet for such an agent last year and eventually picked one located in Canada (because of the quality travelmadvices shares on its website site) - Prince Collection. Great service and everything was clearly explained and I even troubled them with a cancel and rebook for a better deal! Payment was to be made at the hotel so minimum financial risk. As a matter of fact, the booking showed up on my ALL account almost the same time as the TA confirmed booking had been done.

Just to be sure , did you have to pay anything to the team at Prince Collection ? I have an upcoming stay in Japan for 11 nights and it will be good to save some dollars and why not if there is a legit way. Thanks

Not sure about Prince, but for HERA (formerly STEP) bookings through Fora you need a credit card to secure the booking but payment (as long as it’s a flexible rate) is processed at property on arrival.

Before I became a TA myself I just used a Revolut card to secure the booking (the card only had $10 on it so there as no risk). Now I’m a TA I can share a secure link to clients to capture their card detail securely.

No additional payment. As a matter of fact, no financial transaction with the booking agent but I did have to provide credit card details via a secured link to secure the booking (a regular practice?!).

I made an enquiry in early January for my holiday planning for 2H2025 and received prompt and detailed information despite the general nature of my enquiry. Very impressed.

Is this for The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel (Marriott hotel)? If so, booking using Marriott STARS rates would typical include the following perks. Flexi rate pay at hotel.

Marriott STARS Perks
Specific perks for The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel

  • Personalized and customized amenity designed to be meaningful to the guest*
  • Complimentary breakfast daily for two guests per room

I'm currently Accor Gold and have both Accor Plus and Accor Signature, I want to reach platinum ASAP, wondering if anyone can share any tips on the following

1. If you book a Stay Plus night and charge something to your room does this count towards your Status points?

2. How can you use your Accor points to pay for nights? and do these stays count towards the status night/ points?

Yep charge anything and everything back to your room. It soon adds up

Whilst you’re trying to get status points I would recommend not using points towards stays. Whilst there’s ways to make the status nights count at least (ensure something is charged to room and paid), anything elements of the bill using reward points will not earn status points

2. How can you use your Accor points to pay for nights?
I generally burn my points
(a) on stays in Hotels that don't earn a full haul of points
(b) after I have qualified or requalified at my target status, when extra status points are pointless.

You use your points to reduce a room cost, rather than to buy a room. Probably not the best value out there, but very flexible as you can use them for most rooms and rates.

cheers skip

Same. Burn points once I hit the status level I want to reach (in my case diamond) or at the brands with the poor status point earn level
