Anyone have experience using their Accor Plus 50% dining discount benefit in a hotel that was booked through Accor Plus China using wechat or using the free night?

Shouldn't have an issue as the Accor Plus program allow you to dine without staying. If eating at a hotel restaurant there is no need to mention that you are staying there, if you want to be 100% sure that your Accor Plus is added you could make a booking for the restaurant online.

Couldn’t get mobile to work but using a landline number without the state code was accepted

There’s still a deal going on right now - 500 rmb off - original price 2688 but now 2188. I managed to register using WeChat and translating the Chinese using another device via camera and a translating app. Worked quite easily, all done in 10 minutes and the 30 status nights credited within 5 minutes.

How long does it take for the 2 free nights show up on the account? does this benefit only work for China/Hong Kong hotels? or also works for hotels in Australia.

I got the 30 nights almost instantly but doesn't show up as having Accor Plus China as a membership in my profile.

It won’t “show up” in that way. You will see a list of vouchers within the WeChat app that you can use to make a booking by clicking on the button in the app. It won’t be reflected on any other international accor site or app.

Correct. I can confirm this. You will see it on the activity list in the app but that's it.

Also the free room voucher is one room per booking. But no problem making 2 separate bookings for the same night if requiring 2 rooms (just did this myself)

I have had a look through the terms and conditions and can see no mention at all of Banyan Tree hotels being included or excluded in free nights or accommodation discounts.

Does anybody know if Banyan Tree is included?

Yes for HK, and Macau but no for Aus.

Seems it is excluded from any voucher offers. Same for Raffles.

Enrolled to the program since last May. My experience is for hotels in Greater China only. No problem with Hong Kong BUT search under X (Xiangong?) instead of H. Easier if you know Chinese inputting. Haven’t had luck with Macau though

Yes, it is organised by Chinese pinyin. So Hong Kong is actually in the X section Xiang gang, while Macau is in the A section - Ao men.

I couldn't create a WeChat account because I couldn't complete verification by an existing user. Going down the Alipay/Fliggy route to purchase the Elite Card Bonjour Edition. I need 13 nights to qualify for Platinum. Got as far as the payment page but nowhere did it allow me to add my ALL number. If I purchase the card without entering my membership number, can I link it later? Or is there a different screen where I need to enter this before adding the card into my cart?

I did mine in WeChat. Before I could buy, I had to login within the app into my Accor account. I then purchased, and it automatically linked it to the account. So at some point you need to login to Accor before you buy.

Fliggy took me all the way through to payment on my credit card but there was no field where I could log into my Accor account. Next step is to activate the card (after which I can no longer request a refund) so hopefully it is at this point that I log into my Accor account to link the card. I'm waiting on confirmation from customer service before I activate.
