I am receiving a (missed) call each day from a number I have previously saved as related with Accor Plus.

My days are pretty full of meetings and I normally don't check my private phone during work hours.

They call EVERY DAY, although I don't answer. It doesn't bother me but I find it odd that a company trying to sell something would think harassing a potential client is a good idea. There is no value in Accor Plus for me but after these calls I'm dead sure I won't be an advocate for their product, quite the opposite.

Is was partly such calls 11, 12 & 13 years ago that convinced me to give adv+ the boot.

Yes, every year I was called and nagged to renew, months before I had to pay.

I got them for a while too. I finally responded and asked them to stop. They did.

First call from them that I answered, I asked to be removed from their list, they have to respect the privacy act so haven't called back since.

I stay at some of their hotels quite frequently as they are on the preferred list at work, and I've redeemed points from work stays as a cash discount off a couple of personal stays, but dont want to be forced to buy nights i may not use.
