Tripit prompts me to check in at T-24-ish, so I think my Seq nos are getting lower.

Tripit prompts me to check in at T-24-ish, so I think my Seq nos are getting lower.

OLCI at T-24 won't net you SEQ 1 often, as international pax may have checked in. Case in point, I checked in in BOS the other day for a SYD-MEL flight, at around T-50 (I had a very very long layover in LHR as I went BOS-LHR-SIN-SYD to get to AU).

Getting Seq 1 on DOM flights isn't as easy as one may think (although like Ewing, I too have had a few).

Of course Seq's are pointless. Not quite sure why they still use them. I was the official first pax to check in for a commercial flight from AVV many years ago and I was Seq 5 (as the VIP's and celebs had already checked in for the flight to SYD).

QFWP (on Virgin) - Status-matched passenger

It'll be interesting to see how many of the matched stay at WP. I just re-qualified for VA WP on the w/end with a flight back from LAX to MEL. It's nice to earn my status, and scarily enough, remain double WP without the need for a single status run (my travel has kind of multiplied by far too many levels this year; trip 6 to the USA is coming up next week, and I only got back from there less than 48 hours ago).

Yeah I had a three letter ....CIP

CIP is Commercially Important Passenger

In theory it's meant to ensure the pax does not have anything bad to them (eg, is looked after in case of a/c goes u/c or does not get bumped if oversold). I have had CIP on my BP once. In reality, it did sfa

How do you get TripIt to give you T-24 prompts?

That would be handy as I have Tripit appear as a seperate calendar on my phone, and I use an app that automatically launches the phone into Airplane mode 15mins before scheduled take-off and then come out of Airplane mdoe 15mins after scheduled landing time.


Would be better to use a prompt generated by TripIt.

For the money, it's an excellent investment. It's great in the USA too where flights can change around very quickly (and is often easier than leaving my comfortable seat in the AC/FL to find a monitor).

Oh cheers, thanks for that. I'm not a Pro member, but I've noted that whenever I have a trip thats more than a few days long, TripIt always asks if I want 30day complimentary pro membership, might have to take it up next time.

For the $75/year it's worth it if you travel a bit. It is constantly evolving and developing, and the dev guys are always happy to accept and answer feedback as well. I've found them very responsive.

+1 I timed my trial period when I went to Europe last month and found it invaluable.

Try the 30 day trial when you have a few flights in quick succession to see if you like it.

Yes I would have to agree with this.....it appeared on mine for a few years and left after I became more commercially important....so go figure!!!

In the past I recalled seeing my QFF number shown on my JQ BP's, but just did online check-in for flights tomorrow and it's not there, so I'm really hoping it is there in the system. Anyway, did have two codes, one of which isn't mentioned here, but I did wonder what they meant.

WCID - I think we've probably got that one correct
QFFP - I'm hoping that means my number is in the booking... but not sure why they couldn't have simply noted the number

Fare type has it's own heading, with what it is, a Starter Plus, and there's even a spot for baggage allowance, so no need for BG40 as above, though I didn't add baggage so who knows if the 4-letter code would still show.

I believe WCID is correct, since I had a WCII on my 3K flight (which is obviously an international flight from SIN). QFFP is indeed related to the QFF, but it's not an indicator to whether your points/SCs will post.

Jetstar codes

I am sure it will have been asked before but I cant find any posts on it...On my boarding pass for Jetstar this weekend there are a number of codes, most of which I can work out but two have me stumped.
AWCF and UPFX. flights are domestic from BNE - HTI and starter plus.

The other codes are QFFP which I take as Qantas Frequent Flyer Priority and WCID Web Check In Domestic.
