Acronyms on Jetstar Boarding Passes

I asked Jetstar via Twitter what AWCF means and they responded saying that it means I've selected SMS boarding pass on the booking... I responded, that's funny, as I printed my boarding pass and didn't get it via SMS. :p

I've DM'd Jetstar my REF# for them to check it out, what the Acronym stands for and what it means, I'm yet to hear back from them.

Jetstar's Official Response: It's something that's added to your booking when you web check in. :) Nothing to cause you concern though!

In otherwords they don't know what it means....

Re: Abbreviations and explanations

Sorry to move the discussion back on-topic, but on a recent flight KUL-SIN on 3K, I was offered a "complimentary" beverage. Not sure if this is because my ticket was sold under a QF flight number (even though my SIN-KUL had the same ticket but no complimentary drink) or because of the codes on my Boarding Pass.

There were 2 codes in brackets under my name - CODE, VO5S (not VO5 Shampoo...) CODE wasn't on my SIN-KUL BP, so maybe COmplimentary Drink Entitlement? Anyone else know for sure?

Re: Abbreviations and explanations

CODE is for a codeshare booking. Booked as a QF/EK or who ever flight number.

Re: Abbreviations and explanations

I thought so too originally, but as the Flight SIN-KUL also on 3K, also sold as a QF flight number, didn't have that on the BP, and the BP had the work "Codeshare" printed on it also, I discounted it.

They both had VO5S on it...

I think VO5S is meant to denote that you are entitled to SGD 5 of inflight credit (e.g. to buy food or drink). VO means "voucher" and the S stands for "Singaporean Dollar".

There is another thread doing the rounds (not recent as far as I know) where these codes were discussed, and I think this was raised as one of them.

Re: Abbreviations and explanations

That makes sense.... and now I feel ripped off from my missed Drink opportunity :(

Re: Abbreviations and explanations

Don't worry, you didn't miss much. I think you could have bought a cookie and a coke for the $5.
:-)

V = voucher
05 = 5 dollars
S = SGD

If you were on a JQ code flight, you would have something like V10A being a $10AUD voucher. You'll definitely see more of these as the bundles now give vouchers instead of set meals. And keep your BP handy - they need to see it to verify the sequence number to "redeem" the voucher.

Also, I have heard of a pax asking if they can use the voucher for duty free instead. The answer was yes, but I have never seen it actually happen, so that stays under the "unconfirmed" column.

Acronyms/codes on my jetstar bp

Off to BNK from SYD at 06:40am tomorrow.
Just checked in and decided to lash out on the $25 exit row seat.
Boarding pass has the following on it.
LEGX, EXIT, QFFP, V05A, WCID.

I get the first two, possibly the third even though I'm QC Silver not Platinum, I don't use V05 on my hair for the fourth and no idea on the last.

Thoughts on a Friday morning???

Re: Acronyms/codes on my jetstar bp

Pretty standard set for a SYD-MEL, no luggage, booked as a Plus to get the SCs
HVC - High Value Customer? - Query if this is QFF status related, or to do with my Jetstar login, or Plus Package
QFFP - QF FF number loaded
V05A - A$5 voucher
WCID - Web Checkin ID

QFFP means you have elected to take Qantas frequent flyer points instead of a travel voucher.

HVC is definitely status related, it does not appear on Qantas bronze customers bp even with plus package

I'm not sure of HVC - I'm WP but only get HVC on some JQ flights. So unsure. It really varies (a bit like the service)

The last Dom JQ flight I was on they def had a list of who had what, in particular the V05A

I asked for just a water and was handed it, person next to me said I'll have one too - $4 sir being the response.

Looked like there were about 8-10 Plus fares on that mornings SYD-MEL
