Acronyms on Jetstar Boarding Passes

Flew JQ for the first time in over 2 years 2 days ago. I can definitely confirm that HVC stands for High Value Customer because I heard the FAs specifically use that term. I can also confirm that they do have a manifest that lists those passengers that have purchased bundles for the $5 vouchers. I had HVC, JLSF, QFFP, V05A and WCID listed on my boarding pass. JLSF is Jetstar's Starter Fare. The bundle is HVC.

So anyone with a bundle gets HVC.. interesting

Anyhow on my reissued Domestic Business Max ticket (thanks to JQ11 cancellation)
BA30,CB20,EXIT,HVC,LNGE,QFFP,UPFX,WCID
-CB20 - Cabin Baggage 20 - you get 2 items on the Max
-LNGE - Lounge Access (useless in SYD T2)
-EXIT - Exit row (could sit in exit row if I wanted)
-UPFX - Upfront seat (seated in row 1)
The rest are usual codes (interesting no voucher)

No, I don't get HVC when I get a bundle. If you buy a bundle the V05A should be there (probably won't be there for J fares though).

I am pretty sure HVC is High Value Customer

i am QF WP but never use bundles or pay to buy SC's on Jetstar and have HVC on every BP

I'm WP, but hardly ever see HVC on the bp. However, I seem to be getting quite a few TIA and there was also a TIG. Wouldn't have a clue what they are though.

I do throw a fare bit of personal business through them eg over half of my weekly MEL-SYD flights are JQ out of Avalon

I wonder if it's good to do with having a Jetstar.com login. I do most of my bookings that way as it saves details (albeit obviously my qff is linked)

Dont think so. I've had HVC both before and after creating a login.

Codes on Jetstar boarding pass-what do they mean??

I recently took Jetstar JQ906 from BNE- TSV.
On my boarding pass under my name I noted three codes as follows:
(BG20) (WCID) (WCIS)
I was able to work out the first one to be my 20 kg luggage allowance.
I decided to ask a male crew staff and he came back later and said I'm not sure luv.... I'll ask.
Anyways, it was a busy/full flight so I didn't want to be pesky passenger to ask staff again.
Can anyone here make me any wiser??
Thankyou.

Re: Codes on Jetstar boarding pass-what do they mean??

Thanks Hvr for the link- but still none the wiser on WCIS after reading all those threads.

That makes most of us - it seems no-one has worked 'WCIS' out as yet ...

Re: Codes on Jetstar boarding pass-what do they mean??

I got both "JLSF" & "QFFP" on my recent JQ35 flight. I know the second one refers to QF ff points & on the right hand side of the boarding pass was the word "Plus" which may have something to do the the plus bundle that was purchased.

This is just a guess but could JLSF = Jetstar Lite Saver Fare? (the base fare to which you added the plus bundle)

I'd say that's probably it as we didn't pay for checked baggage due to it just being a day trip so travelling HLO. I'm sure it was a saver lite - we paid around $79.00 plus the bundle on top of that.

I'm always HLO, but I only get JLSF sometimes. I think it might be something to do with sales fare, like, we're being marked as cheapskates who belong in the bottom of the pile, kind of thing.

Although with regard to "bottom of the pile" stuff when it comes to flight cancellations they seem to reaccommodate pax in order of sequence number.

This was the case a while back when they cancelled a BNE/TSV flight as they made a pa telling pax how they were going to manage it.

The first group were put on a 1640 QF flight, the next lot on the 1940 QF flight & the remainder had to overnight & fly the next day.

Don't know whether it's managed that way at all ports - probably not due to different ground handlers in different cities.
