I have tried searching a/c card, a/c american express card, and nothing has come up but I remember reading about it here multiple times.

I'm trying to set up my A/C card, spoke to Live Chat, said I can do it online which I thought you couldn't. I proceeded to add an additonal card holder the normal way as advised, and one of the terms was 'must not be in your name'. Spoke to Live Chat again, said I had to call. I did that, and they said they have to physically send (can't email) and then I can upload it via the online account.

Was there a way to expedite this process, or is that the only way an A/C card can be added?

Has any one had any success getting the extra card?

I tried just before xmas and they rejected it. And I am wary about trying too many times.
I tried a few months back with no success, submitted the form twice both times they called & said they don’t offer the card anymore.
Also that the codes on the pdf form are not recognised anymore 🤷🏼‍♂️
Is there any way to create the separate login online or is a call to support needed? Also do all points earned still funnel back to the main ascent premium account or does this second login mean they get separated?

You can create a separate login for the A/C card. You'll need to wait for it to arrive in the mail. Points all funnel through the main card, just like any supp card.

Ok got it. So when I receive the card and go to activate it I’ll be asked to create a new user account.

However if I was already logged into my main account and clicked “activate or add new card” then in theory wouldn’t the A/C show up under my same online account? I’d prefer that, as long as I can still feed it into xero that way. (I’m assuming you can because xero now shows a checkbox for each separate card when adding bank feeds)

Can you see multiple cards under the one login? I thought Amex had disabled that ages ago. I only have primary card under my login. Have a separate login for A/c which. I never use (guess that stopped me from using too many Amex offers easily other than their having been enhanced).

Have I missed something abd it’s possible to have supps under same login as primary again?

I have Amex plat, reserve and explorer all under the same login and can rotate between them. But it’s yet to be determined if I can have my A/C in there with them

I believe to have multiple cards linked under the one login, the "member since" year has to be the same. It's a bit random with AMEX that when you're the primary cardholder, the "member since" digits carry over to any new cards you apply for (which can then be linked under one login) - but when you create an A/C card or are added as a supplementary to another cardholder's account, the "member since" on those cards reflects when those supp cards were created, not how long you've actually been a "member since".

Have never bothered to try calling and asking whether the "member since" years can be corrected (and then linked under one login) - not sure it's worth it or whether the typical consultant would even know what you were talking about!

Does anyone know what the current situation is with the number of free supp and A/C cards allowed for the Platinum Charge? A while ago, seems like some people were charged $700 for going over the 4 free cards quota (4 supps + 1 A/C) but not others. Amex Platinum Charge now charging a supplementary cardholder fee

I already have 4 supp cards and want to add an A/C card under my name (using the form kindly provided here) but don't want that if it's going to cost $700!

An A/C card doesn't count towards your Supp. Card allocation. I added one last year, with 4 supp members already. My A/F was the same.

I followed the solution post here and uploaded the form on 3 Dec. Got a new card showing under my 'View Additional Card Members' section.

The new A/C's name shows as my name and not ending with A/C. I wonder if that's the normal situation and if the actual card will be the same or not.

EDIT: found a card named '[my name] A/C' under card management page. All good now.

Is that possible to change the name on card when received? I'd like to make this card as family use so I would love to put both my name and my partner's name on it, just like [my name] n [partner's name].

I don’t believe you can . Need to provide documentation to.change name . Easier to apply for fresh card .

What is the purpose of an Account Card?

It's a good idea to have an account card for all your direct debits. Then if your 'normal' card is lost, stolen or skimmed, you can have a new one issued without needing to change all your DDs.

You'll also get more Amex offers on the A/C!

Just rang. It seems that AMEX AU no longer provide such card anymore.

Support will tell you that, but if you fill out the form and upload it people have had success recently

That CSR said could not find the form. Sigh! Said it is being replaced by companion card.
