Additional 30,000 bonus Velocity points with a new credit card (apply by 17/12/23)

This was a nice surprise, applied for the Virgin Flyer for myself and OH, no brainer at $64 fee x2 for 60k VA + $129 credit x2...first month both posted the first 30k, plus this 30k bonus. So totak 180k VA points and $258 flight credit for $128, this has to be one of the best returns on investment, CC wise, in a while. I was really only trying to think of something to do while the clock ticked towards re-eligibility for QF cards too.

+1 to the feedback around prompt crediting. My first statement was sent through over night and all points, including the 30K bonus were already in my velocity account.

Does anyone happen to know what the qualifying spend t&Cs were for westpac altitude platinum card during this promo? I was approved before 17th December but stupidly forgot to take note of what spend I needed by when! I've been googling for a while with no luck so thought I'd ask here. Thanks!

Which credit card do you have? Can you explain what that credit card's flight credit is? Is it a free flight or credit towards the cost of a flight?

Great. Thank you.
It does come through quickly once requested though, handy reminder mine and OH's took about a week to arrive and I'd actually forgotten about them!

Confirming that I applied on 17/12 and got my 30K+30K today after my statement ended.

My and OH's second month points posted today too (pooled), exactly two months after approval.

$128 for 180,000 VA points (plus the spend points) and $258 flight credit, which I've already managed to use, great return from this one.

Just recieved my 60k + 30k from the velocity Amex.
Was very slack and only met the spend requirement in the 2nd month!

Will keep this card for a while as will take the free flight and like the 1.25 VFF per $1.
Finding fewer places Amex not allowed compared to 18 months ago when last held an Amex, a long exclusion period.

Time to cancel / churn that other pesky visa now.

Is it right that we need to keep the card if we want to use the free flight credit? I have no plan to use them in any foreseeable future but if that the case I have to force myself to flight somewhere hahaha

No, you request it and within days VA send you a travel bank account credit. That is then completely separate to your Virgin Money credit card. I used mine and paid the gap with an Amex, for example.

So I applied for my $64annual fee card on 27 December for the 60k points promotion.

Yesterday I got 30,000 points credited as 'FLYER 60K OFFER' and another 30,000 points credited as 'DE 30KBPs November Campaign'

Guess I am lucky? I can't see evidence they extended the offer.
