Oh, that's interesting. I seem to recall at least one specific offer to upgrade to Platinum, but that would have been 2-3 years ago, and I most definitely remember it did have an AF. The credit limit on this card is low, though. 6K, I think: we lowered 4-5 years ago when they dropped QF transfers and almost never used it after that, and we've refused the couple of CL increase that came in since. Have people been successful in calling citi to find out if there is a free upgrade available for their account, or is it just an exercise in frustration?

It's the old "hang up, call back" trick. You probably still won't get what you want, however. I think if you weren't targeted you are generally out of luck.

Yes, but not heavily as I'm chasing QFF points. I've only bought a few "things" on Citi (where the extended warranty may come in useful).

Just got mine in the post- 7 bonus points per $ up to 20,000 for 1st October- 31st October. So that must be 8.5 points per $ spent on Supermarket purchases i.e 1.5 base points + 7 bonus points (Signature Card)

And of course I do need a few GC for an upcoming purchase. So for a spend of $2353 I can get my 20,000 bonus points

I read it the same way as Spizz - the total points you can earn at supermarkets in October is 20k.

But it says 7 bonus points. The 1.5 points is base points.

To me that says the total you can earn (even if you spent more) is 20,000.

My 10 weeks are up. No sign of the bonus points.

Give them a call and let us know how you go. I had to do that last month with the IC bonus points I didn't receive.

+1 for calling them, I had to call them 3 times and email them a scanned copy of the offer for my similar deal (triple points on all spend in a certain month). Admittedly I did call them before the 10 weeks was up the first time. In the end, on the third call, they just gave me 20k extra points (I'd already got the base points).

Just spoke to customer service. She confirmed that indeed the promotion did exist and that it would be referred to the rewards team back office for further investigation. I should get a call back within 5 to 7 business days. Wish me luck!

Well it didn't take 5 business days. Got a call back today. She told me she calculated about $2,500, I said it should be about $2,900. So we went thru the transactions during the promotion period and ended up with a $3000 figure. She's now going to send an email to the relevant dept and have the full 20K points credited to me. She said it should be there by tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Hoping to transfer to Velocity before 31 Oct to get the 15% bonus!
