I expect CBD will be better for most but I can do Glenelg also. So who's in?

Both Glenelg and the CBD are the same distance for us, so happy with either.

Glenelg would be better for me but the CBD is ok if it suits the majority

Glenelg would have been perfect for me - unfortunately (depending on how you look at ....) currently winging our way to the first Ashes test in Cardiff so will have to pass (again). Will raise a glass for you all though. Enjoy. :)

I am on for both days - being away from home I will be dinning out anyway. It's always better to eat with company than on your own.

OK. We need to firm this up for Monday. I propose Riverside Restaurant at the InterContinental on North Terrace @6.30pm. They are in the Entertainment Book (we have 3 cards between us) and also IHG Dining Rewards. If anyone wants to suggest something else, please do. I don't really know Glenelg resataurants.

From the posts above I think the following are attending:

Steady
AustralianPoochie
Romney
Mr. Romney
Anna
FroggerADL

Please add or remove as neccessary.

I am in - I will see you all tomorrow night

Unfortunately I'm still unable to make it, 4 flights interstate this week. Enjoy!

Dear All,

I'm not well known around here but I have occasionally visited AFF over a number of years.

Today I received an email from "AFF Community News" that says in part:

QUOTE

Upcoming Meetings and Social Events
Some of our community's upcoming social events include:
Adelaide dinner and drinks - 8 July
Perth dinner - 16 July
Melbourne Champagne Appreciation Night - 21 August
Cairns Annual AFF Weekend Gathering - 16-18 October

While we all love browsing our online forums, there is no substitute for actually meeting our members in person. Some of the best tips are shared over a coffee or a beer! So, why not participate in one of our many events?

UNQUOTE

I subsequently visited the "social events" discussion referenced above and found this thread about an Adelaide get-together. I'm interested in attending but rather confused.

The AFF news email says that the event will be this coming Wednesday evening 8 July. Regrettably, the notice has arrived too late for me, I'm otherwise engaged that evening and likewise Monday 6 Jul, which also seems to be an option. However, it does seem from reading this thread that neither the date nor the venue are locked in as yet.

I don't want to complicate deliberations but if there was to be an evening event next week (13 - 16 July), preferably in the Adelaide CBD or eastern suburbs, I could probably attend.

Thanks for trying to make it happen!
