It wasn't really my suggestion. Just I mentioned it first online. I recall Anna make the suggestion at the coughtail party.

Is there any reason not to do both May and June? What about after work drinks on 24 May, as those are a bit easier to organise and can be less formal, and don't require dinner afterwards.

Then have something more detailed on 22 June?

LOL. I just invited everyone ;). I think he's been in touch with you anyway. I was going to get in touch again when we settled on a night. But I just thought this thread needed a date upon which to focus.


Edit to add: I see Medhead got in with dates a few minutes before me ;)

If there is a visitor in town best to go with that.

I won't land until about 9:30pm. So I'm out for Thursday but I'm sure it'll be more fun without me. ;)

I can't do Thursday this week but I could do Friday 24th for an after-work drink.

Thanks Straitman, however the mini-meet is just a catch up with 2 locals and an AFF visitor at this stage, I still hope we can get a proper AFF ADL drinks organised at some stage, when this happens the thread title can be changed... ;)

Majestic rooftop garden hotel. Near DeKa's hotel. There is a restaurant there with a bar. They say we can then take our drinks up to the rooftop garden. Works for me. I'll aim to get there between seven and seven thirty tomorrow night.

Straitman, I request you change the title to reflect the date of May 24th for "After Work Drinks", this was suggested by medhead, I will also second this date. If we were to say that more than four represents a quorum, then with an additional 2 votes "likes" to this post it should be settled....everybody free to attend, those that can't, see you next time...

I will discuss "drinks" location with Newk and our visitor tonight at the mini meet as posted earlier.

If this post does not get two likes, then the thread continues into the vast AFF database of discussions.

Since we are talking after work drinks, I also suggest the starting time of 5:30-6pm somewhere in the city

My suggestion for venue is either the place we went to before the qantas coughtail party. But anywhere suits me.
