Would there be any interest in me organising something in the Semaphore area before September? I joked at the last dinner about the Palais, and it's easy to organise something there (pub food) or I can choose somewhere else around the area. Is it too far for everyone to come?

I have access to a few flat plate BBQ's so a BBQ event is possible...

I'm actually thinking of sometime after winter when the weather is better and to do a BBQ at Bonython Park which also has some options for kids (i.e a playground) It will take a bit of organising, but if there is enough interest then perhaps an Adelaide AFF Christmas BBQ in November might be a good idea...?

I like your thinking shintaro10x

BBQ sounds great, so long as it isn't too hot for us foreigners who aren't used to the heat

That sounds like a great idea!

Oh yeah. I really want to organise stuff*. Just that others are getting in before me

Lol and others are allowed to assume that I won't be doing that any time soon. :)

Cameron I will try to make it for a beer later in the afternoon, if anyone is still around that is... otherwise have fun everyone

If Italian is considered worthwhile for the evening then La Trattoria on King William Street is an excellent venue. I always have a good night out there and the wine list is affordable and good quality (unlike the Executive Lounge along the road at the Hilton ). The King's Head is across the road for pre-dinner drinks too.

ADL Dinner and Drinks - September 2014

We started going to La Trattoria 35 years ago. Same owners same popularity.

Just talking about going there again in a couple of weeks. Used to be our weekly pizza place BC.

I/we would like to be there but Mrs. B and I will be returning from AKL. I booked a couple of JASA's for SWMBO's birthday later this week.
Enjoy the day everybody.
