Looked at Crowne Plaza on Gold Coast for 1 night on September 17 and the rate was $159. Does this include the 30% discount?

The best available rate is $119. Who are they trying to kid?

If it was participating in the promo, which its not apparently, mind you the same date at the HI Brisbane gives a similar result. Interestingly the Advance purchase rate at the HI is far cheaper than the entertainment card rate, maybe they have applied the discount to the wrong rate:

It is supposed to be participating in the Holiday Offer promotion but not the Weekend Offer promotion. What is the difference? One is 30% off and the other is 40% off but it does not appear to be applying the discounts.

Very very confusing and they can keep their $40 breakfast offer for 1 person.

For the hotels/dates of interest to me, I was just seeing the normal 20% off rates for Advance Purchase.

I guess the key is 'up to' 40% off, so its hard to know if your getting a good rate or not ....
