Advice on champagne

Yes, looks like weather played a part:

Worldwide supply chain issues have affected local sales to the point where Endeavour Group have introduced a cap on champagne sales per person. 12 bottles per person per day.
Yeh gods. That sounds too much like the restrictions on patrons camping at Bathurst for the race, where they are limited to one case of beer/champagne per day. :-)

Excellent. Lots of good Australian sparkling whites and reds for Xmas!

I last bought this in gift boxes for 6x$40pb on the Sippery a while back, they bumped it up $3pb soon after that. It's one of the more consistent big volume NV. At a recent tasting I preferred the Pierre Bertrand 1er Cru NV from Vinimofo, $50 at that time.
Thanks for the tip on the Pierre Bertrand. I just oredered half dozen for Christmas through Vinmofo at $55 each, which isn't too bad..

moet $42.50ea if 2 bottles @ first choice after tenoff and cashrewards 25%.
*might also be flybuys, mycoles, CRmax as well (and $10 off amex offers).
Yeah should be $40.27 with max, tried the mycoles code at liquorland yesterday and it was denied, haven't tried with first choice yet but wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work either.

XMAS is apon us and so glad I secured these Veuve gift packs over last year - no matter who it is receiving gift - planned or last minute - this type of item is invaluable:

Bubble bursts: Extra Quality Champers half price at $55

A quick clearance offer today with a non-vintage champagne you can quaff or cellar. Usually $110, you can have it today for $59.95 a bottle or $55 each in a six-pack, and that includes delivery.
This is not heat affected or shelf-damaged stock; this is Ployez-Jacquemart's Extra Quality Brut NV, aged a minimum three years on lees before disgorgement and trucked, shipped and stored in temperature control by yours truly.

We started with this estate in our maiden voyage in 2008, then moved away to pure grower champagnes for several years but came back at the request of customers who had visited or stayed at the domaine and fell in love with their wine. In fact, one customer bought 22 dozen from us last year!

A View From The Cellar's John Gilman is also a fan: "The bouquet wafts from the glass in a youthfully complex blend of apple, pear, brioche, chalky soil tones, gentle floral tones and a topnote of fresh almond. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full bodied and complex, with a fine core, excellent mineral undertow and grip, elegant mousse and a long, beautifully balanced and classy finish. This is drinking very well indeed right now, but like all of Laurence Ployez’s wines, it will also age beautifully. 92 points, drink now to 2045."

Agree with others that the RRP seemed over the top. Reviews on CellarTracker was enough to convince me to grab a 6-pack at this price point.
