Advice on champagne

London restaurants all advertise Prosecco with their dining specials so I am not surprised about champagne sales tanking in England.

Champers in the UK is also losing the air of exclusivity. Drinking trends are changing.

You missed the SIN lounge crawl a few months ago? LOL

I did indeed, however i think it's a novel idea to hold an AFF Champagne event all the same....each participant to bring a nice Champers and bang'o' instant AFF Champagne tasting event...

Disclaimer: Hard to attend the SIN lounge crawl with many junior AFF's in the nest.... Mrs Shintaro would not be happy if I attended that event me thinks...

When I Google search "Louis auger champagne" in the UK, link #1 is Dan Murphy's, link #2 is this thread.

Lol. Keith009 they owe you commission.

Is Krug cheap enough in London for us to do a champagne event in your region Mal?

I'm sure we can arrange something. Should be at the right price in London, otherwise there are quite a few trips planned in the near future where strategic duty free champagne purchases can be made.

Immediate family christmas dinner on tonight. Turkey and all the trimmings in the oven, cheesecake and homemade mango ice cream all ready to go

Currently sitting down with Mrs Nick enjoying some nice cheese and prosciutto. Onto our second bottle of Moet and you know what???

It tastes great!!!!

Might not be my personal favourite, Mrs Nick does go for a lighter drop and it just goes to prove, that given the right circumstances, there's no such thing as a bad bottle of french champers

Merry christmas everyone, hope you have a great day and holiday season

Just about to crack my Moët. (Poke out tongue gif )Is there no better sound than the pop of the champagne cork. It's calling me.

We purchased a champagne stopper at the Moët cellars. But we sometimes use a teaspoon.

Bought a bottle of tattinger brut to share with the family tonight. Will save the real tattinger for tomorrow when BA are paying for it ;)

Just a tasting note on today's consumption:

[h=1]2008 André Clouet Champagne Brut Millésimé[/h]Nose of brioche, Mayer lemon, hints of stone fruit, under ripe pineapple. Velvety mousse, with citrus tones, balanced acid and a decent length finish. Super balanced wine that will get even better with time. 92 points.
