Advice on champagne

Three weeks later I did get the Groupon 7.5% BigW discounts. I will not be rushing to use Groupon again as the Dans deal has gone.

Here you go:

[h=3]3 x Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2004[/h]Taittinger Comtes de Champagne is the finest expression of the world famous wine from one of the greatest Champagne Houses. First produced in 1952, Comtes is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from 6 Grand Cru sites in the Cýte de Blancs. Showing a pristine pale yellow colour with very light, abundant bubbles which rise uniformly to form a fine mousse. The evocative bouquet opens with notes of pears and fresh cute white flowers. Left in the glass for a time, the nose develops a richness and density of pure character. Once on the palate, Comtes is lively, direct and precise with flavours of candied lemon zest and fresh pineapple. The balance is something to behold. This Champagne's marriage of finesse and aromatic intensity is a promise of further potential, but already offers very pleasurable drinking.

anyone forking out $200/bottle for the above? edit - didn't realise the link didn't show the champagne - it's taittinger comte 2004

While there are 3 bottles in the picture, there is no description of what the bundle actually is. It's probably safe to presume though.

pricepal offering a 6% discount on DM's at present, brings the 'secret' champagne down to $37/bottle. shame my wedding isn't until next year - i'd be loading up big time!

+1
Was very surprised to be served LGD on BR J even on very short sector like BKK-TPE. Probably leftovers coming from LHR.

I was on the 777. maybe the other fights they're not quite as generous?

i elt guilty for about 5 seconds that I was drinking at 9am. Glad I had a proper bed I could nap in after the meal and wine service. I was more than a bit buzzed by the time we landed, but it was a very memorable champagne breakfast with a nice tasting of a German Riesling and the 20 year old port with dessert :p

Such a shame the flight was so short

You were in Royal Laurel Class that flys TPE-BKK-LHR, it's BRs most premium cabin, I absolutely love it! Wish it was possible to book BNE-TPE-LHR via LM...
On regional flights they serve Castelnau 2002.

I was lucky enough to fly them last year LHR to BKK with my USDM miles

Great service, comfy PJs, Rimowa toiletries bag, and a good 7 hours sleep on one of the best beds in the air.

Now someone has mentioned the secret champers at DM is Tattinger. I'm sold. had some on Asiana regional last year. Umm. I'll be honest it was more like a bottle each way BKK to ICN :p

Looks like the dans secret champagne is now sold out. Ordered some the other day on the price pal extra discount. Email today saying it won't be delivered.
Ole no more

Bummer! Although last time (when it was cheaper) they sold out, and brought it back again. Don't give up hope! :)
