Advice on whisky

You won't because you paid with a gift card.
In the past, paying BWS with Wish (gift) card has still been processed. But there is a stated exemption for gift cards, so I am not assuming it will process. I used the theory that guaranteed 5% discount via already purchased Wish card was better than hoping the 25% cashback would process. I have found cashback type transactions to be a little hit-and-miss, and to be good when they process but not to be relied upon. There are too many things that can go wrong, such as browser cookies being over-written by other browser plug-ins, ad-blockers, the sequence of clicking-through, other promotions etc. invalidating the original cashback deal.

I hear you. I always open a new Container Tab in Firefox (I expect these have a different name in Chrome, etc) and then load the CR web site and click through. My hit rate for automatically tracked purchases is much, much better than it was before.

Experience with Royal Salute is good drink. Since this is all malt would be much better I think. Here is a review and with such a good price would be worth a punt.
Negative is the low alcohol 40%. Would be much better at 43% or above as with some JW Blue Label.

I like JW Black Label Lowlands Origins. Easy drinking, and good value if discounted less than $60.

Thanks for the recommendation previously. I bought the straight rye it's really good and the bottle itself is stunning.

I missed out on Archie Rose first malt whisky. Any views?

I'm a big fan of the AR as well actually we must have similar GREAT taste :)

Yes the previously consumed Gospel bottles are now sitting on our shelves as art! They are stunning.

Just wanted to share that Lark Distillery has 10% off with the code SINGLE until today. Just bought a 58% cask bottle that friends recommended, pity I'd already purchased the Christmas bottle.

Did anyone else buy the mystery box from Black Friday at Lark? Got mine today and I'm pretty happy. Got a single bottle, Distillers Selection Tawny Port, numbered signed 500ml bottle. The RRP on the unsigned is $229 and it's sold out. (Box cost me $190)

Better than I got. A bottle of classic cask, a glass and 2 x 20ml samples.

Yeah, at least you got a single malt though, some people on the FB page were not happy as they received the blended one. I'd be peeved if that was me too.
What samples did you receive? Even though I'm happy enough I don't think I'd do it again, for $190 I'd rather buy what we like or an add on through the Whiskey Club. I was worried I'd get a t-shirt and some mince pies, so thank goodness they weren't in the box.
