My partner and I, Brisbane based, will be making a series of flights on Aeromexico for the first and probably last time in Apr-May.

Looking at their "earning info" we should accumulate about 13,000k X 200% (for J) AM rewards points each if we were members.

We are member of a few programs but none in Skyteam.

We are unlikely to go to/thru Mexico or fly Aeromexico again after this year.

Looking for input of which other skyteam program to join that may be best to attribute the sectors to that would give us easiest/flexible future use/value.

While we enjoy and often travel in Asia, the recent actions of the CCP we are unlikely to go to China again.

I was thinking maybe directing the earning to China Airlines or Vietnam Airlines might be useful for some short haul or upgrades. Not sure if Aeromexico rewards could be used to buy hotel rooms in the future (points plus pay?)

Open to any suggestions.

If you only fly SkyTeam occasionally, Delta might be the best option because their Skymiles don't expire.

* Not collecting and not using ff miles/avios/points is a crime

For any new ffp check the earnings for your flight and the expiry rules. Avoid those with hard expiry (use them or lose them)

KLM/AF (FlyingBlue) is a QF partner so may be able to use for an award on QF. 24 months expiry

I have a DL ff account for random skyteam flights.
