I think the former, but we use the latter to talk about missing itSo what are we missing more. Travel, or AFF?
So what are we missing more. Travel, or AFF?
It will be in the US. We have previously used a data centre in Sydney, but the sad reality is that it's difficult to justify given the cost/performance ratio of Australian-based servers vs. those in the USOut of interest will the new server still be in the US or is AFF moving back to Australian servers?
Thanks for the hard work you have been doing. Good luck in choosing a new data centre. I followed the link in your messages about the outage and read the posts from those others whose severs were also down. Pretty amazingly bad communications from the data centre. Most users had some sympathy at the start but the continuing failure to respond and provide updates was almost a classic case of how to make a bad situation worse. I can see why you have decided to opt for a change. It will be in the US. 100% agree most of the stuff I host is in the US, it's just cheeper. No pressure but are you willing to say who the new company will be, always looking for suggestions and now know of one more to avoidIt will be in the US. Will you get service credits/refunds from the outages caused by incumbent? I hope you do.

Try ServerIntellect, Dreamhost or Siteground and maybe consider distributed cloud servers such as Azure. It will be in the US. One word... Cost.Rather than being tied to a physical server, is moving to a cloud option like AWS, Azure etc not a better option?
One word... Cost.
Those platforms are very expensive compared to smaller providers.
And AFF has been blocked by the WA Govt...On further thought... it could also be said that AFF had a 3 day snap lockdown... everyone must now wear masks for 14 days.
