AFF Gathering #10 in PER on 11 - 13 November 2016

chicka and myself will be going.

Might spend an extra day or two before/after the weekend to make sure we see everything, as it's somewhere we both haven't been and don't want to miss out on fitting as much in as possible.

We want to check out Toastface Grillah while we're there, even if we go alone... but if I don't mention it, I know I'll forget :p

I hear Toastface Grillah is awesome lol...
I love Caversham Wildlife Park if you're interested... also in the immediate vacinity is a transport/ tractor/ motor museum and you can have vintage train rides...

Phew! was beginning to think my emails were not being received :oops:

:?: Just a note for those interested in doing the Sunday Bus Tour, you may note that when booking tickets this is the only event that it is showing how many seats are left. This is NOT accurate. Once those 12 seats sell out I will call the Coach company and upgrade our ride from a 21 seater to a 33 seat coach and release the tickets for sale, so do not fear that you will miss out (though once they are gone that is it, we are capped for numbers at Fremantle Prison). :?:
 
Damn, a Conference that I was hoping would be able to piggyback the AFF event has announced their dates - 23rd to 25th November :(. Will have to rely on clients instead, but still doubt I'll make it for the weekend

Unfortunately, I'll need to drop to bronze for the weekend. Moving country and stuff seem to throw a spanner into my plans, but you'll hopefully see me more often in the future as I'll soon be AU based.
 
So sorry that I will miss meeting some AFF members in my home city Perth, as I will be in Canberra that weekend !

Can I recommend a newish basement bar to go to - Halfords - Cathedral Avenue opposite the new Perth Library building.

Just to keep you all updated regarding the Saturday night dinner as there has been some interest in its progress of late.

The Dinner will be held at in the Restaurant of The Grand Bar & Bistro (which will be exclusively our for the evening) and will consist of a 3 Course set menu with four options for Entrée and Main and three options for Dessert. The cost will be $80pp and includes a glass of sparkling wine on arrival.

Entrée *

Homemade soup of the day, toasted turkish bread

Pomegranate glazed beetroot, whipped goats cheese, beet puree, candied pecan nuts (VGML) (GFML)

Pan seared scallops, black pudding, cauliflower puree (GFML)

Beef cheek ravioli, parmesan leek cream, carrot puree, crushed hazelnuts


Mains *

200g Beef Fillet with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and choice of sauce (GFML/NLML available)

Cone bay barramundi, broccoli puree, mixed grains, confit tomato and burre blanc

Timber Hill duck breast, celeriac puree, sweet potato fondant, roasted radish and chestnut jus

Cauliflower risotto, mixed forest mushrooms, cauliflower florets and porcini dust (VGML/GFML)


Desserts *

Chocolate brownie, berry compote and vanilla bean ice cream (VGML)

Lemon and lime posset, mixed forest fruits and raspberry sorbet (VGML)

Cheese board, double brie, french blue, lavosh, fruit, nuts and quince paste (VGML/GFML available)

Definitely out now. Much more important assignment.
