While this years AFF Gathering is officially over, I'm still here and thought I might share a few more snaps from my day. Went to Kings Park this morning before it got too hot, before having the best sandwich I've ever had at Toastface Grillah (see post #4)... well worth the wait!

Will you be in the bar for tapas tonight?

As jealous as I am of the awesome weekend you've all had, I have to confess this freddy isn't ready for AFF meet and greets just yet. Despite declining I do appreciate the invite.

If you didn't think it could get any better, you haven't met jsd

Jsd, you have certainly set a high standard for the AFF annual gathering.

I second that!

... and I third that!! Great job jsd!!

I suppose you can 4th that :D. We certainly do.

Great job jsd...we had a terrific time...well done.

I think what's even more amazing is that jsd doesn't even live in PER. What a fabulous event.

Nawww you guys, I'm glad you all had a great weekend. It really was a fun and I'm so happy it went off without any major hitches. I still can't get over the massive turnouts.

Currently sitting in the SIN QF Lounge enjoying a nice Pinot to relax and wind down from the weekend.

3K wasn't too bad, but they wouldn't give me a boarding pass at transfer C becasue my flights are on seperate tickets?? Never had that before, but they may have actually done me a favour becasue I'm now technically eligible to apply for the Electronic Entry Program.

jsd decided to dump gas on burning charcoal :p

Who knew that turning off said gas would cause more fire!:mrgreen:

Not to worry, if you do decide to say hello, I'll be in black jeans with a red tee, and there could be at least 3 of us.

Apparently getting home from MEL is proving quite difficult as the freeway is closed, and the train isn't running.

Just want to say what a fabulous DO AFF #10 was, and to thank jsd so much for the excellent organisation. Thanks also to QF (and Red Roo)for the 10K FF points I won (and for the other prizes they donated), and to serfty for his prize donations. Thanks also to the guest speaker. Apologies if I've missed anyone.

jsd, you did such a great job I'm nominating you to organise all AFF Gatherings until 2040, the 2024 Olympics, the next US Presidential elections, and the kid next door's Bar Mitzvah! :) :p

After 20 hours of flying, 11 hours of layover, one delay that forced me to spend an extra hour in the QF MEL F lounge (quelle horreur!), I (and more importantly, three bottles of wine) have safely arrived back in Austin. A big thumbs up to jsd and the other organizers for all the underlying plans of a fantastic weekend! Really enjoyed myself, even more than when I found out QF were finally serving the Taittinger Comtes de Champagne on my first class flight! Great to meet new faces and catch up with those previously met as well.
