Ok I have booked using Virgin and IHG points. I really don’t like 737s but that seemed to be all that there is. All eight Virgin business class seats were available both ways so I guess PER-ADL-PER is not a popular route.

You're lucky you got the 737 PER-ADL. It's the biggest aircraft on that route. QF even use the 717 on some flights. Mind you, some people prefer the 717, and it does have some pluses.

For the same number of points you can go via MEL or SYD to get the A330, if they still do the A330!

JohnK I don’t do humidity if I can avoid it.
This year I will spend about 10 hours at the Crowne Plaza three times before heading off to LAX or LHR.

From Perth with the tailwind it can be 2 and a half hours to get to Adelaide so that 10 hour long cut thru Singapore is only to get to grand finals and equivalents when everything else is sold out.

If I had the points I'd do it for fun. But that route would be too simple for @JessicaTam. Interested to see the route she takes to get from MEL to ADL.

I still have 1.1 million QFF points but promised my wife we'd use points to go round the world after she gets her spouse visa. And probably another one when daughter is 6-7 years old.

If I'm able to attend this event I'd travel OOL-SYD-ADL x 3 on VA pooling to me and a good start to the VA year.

Is that one of the cruises cancelled because the ship was still being built? I heard something about that but I can't remember the details.
