Hope to make it. Don't know how that translates to plat, gold etc.
Platinum is definite, gold is probably, silver maybe not, and bronze no way.

Oh and copper means that you might make it or maybe not because you might be in Singapore or that could be Darwin but you won't know until the day before and may or may not be able to get a flight then but you will see what you can do and is it too late to come for dinner.

I just booked the flights so I have moved past gold-ish. I picked the A330 both ways because 2 J tickets were available.

Better than that Airwin I used Mrscove’s points and then my Amex Ultimate for the outgoings.
I saw the cash price and burned 144,000 QF points instead.

Definitely not copper or bronze. Let us say silver heading towards gold.

Had to look up electrum in google. Will this be the word for today? Seeing it was phased out of being used about 2,500 years ago I doubt I have any in my coin collection.
I told Mrscove that we are booked for Sydney in October now that she is awake. She is relaxed about me using Qantas points provided it is for domestic flights in business class on the A330.

Plat. Saw this thread yesterday and sitting on my BA F flight had an idea that I would like to put out there. For those of us who get amenity kits in our flights maybe we can save them and bring to Syd where they can be given to a shelter. Thoughts?

Yes we give our amenity kits to shelters. We have a lady at our pool who collects them from us as we get too many.

Electrum is still going strong today, all over the place :) - as the natural alloy of gold and silver.

But pah! to electrum. I'm platinum for the event!

I would love to get to my first big gathering, and sense this will be the year for it. I nominate myself as Gold, probably bump that to Platinum once I get some sort of reassurance that will not be seated between a pair of geologists....

seated between a pair of geologists…. sounds like ..... a hard place between two rocks ?

edit .. typo… sorry ….that should be case not place….:p
