I'll send you the immigration documents to enter the People Republic of Victoria tomorrow....

Mr!

What?!! Australian citizens need a visa to enter the PRoV? This is an outrage!

Anyway, just confirming my attendance for AFF#3.

Oct 22 QF648 PER-MEL 23:45-06:10
Oct 23 JQ30 MEL-SYD 12:00-13:20
Oct 25 QF571 17:50-19:45

Taking the midnight special.... you can't say I'm not dedicated!

Good stuff Flashy

Seems like a whole bunch of AFF'ers will be bumming in the MEL FLounge for a while whlst waiting for the JQi shuttle.

Hopefully someone else will be doing JQ30 and be able to guest me into the FLounge:!:

I'm not in a position to offer guest access for that very reason.

We may manage, just need to smile sweetly and flutter the eyelids :)

I've got dibs on you guesting me into the Business Lounge at SYD domestic for the flight home though!

Just to confirm also I've booked Sydney Hilton for the night of Friday 23rd.

Also.... I have a voucher here that will give you a bottle of free wine or free breakfast with a 1 night stay @ Hilton (I have 2 of these, that I got from referring people to HPC). If anyone would like to take advantage of them let me know. The gotcha is I have to book the room in my name, but the plus is you also get an additional 20% off the advertised rate :)

Done deal :) We can always try to get extra people in to the First lounge in MEL - if QF009 is successful in guesting his +1 in, then I can guest you in just fine :)

I may have this wrong (I hope that is the case), but AFAICT AA EXP flying JQ does not even get access to the FCL for themselves, let alone a guest? Or is this one of those situations where I've read that access is granted, regardless of published rules?

Anyway, I'm not WP or AA EXP or any OWE so I believe I'll rough it in the domestic QP and fly QF and catch up with y'all in SYD. :)

I believe the strictest reading of the rules doesn't allow OWE's access to international First / domestic Business lounges when travelling on JQ - though there are plenty of examples where this hasn't been a problem. The Melbourne lounge dragons are pretty friendly, so I'm hoping there won't be any issues..

I'm hoping so, also! Otherwise it's off to the BLounge for me :p

They do allow OW EMDs flying JQ into the FCL regardless of published rules. But I am trying to pair up with QF WPs just in case they do decide to enforce the published rules. ;)
