The times I've been out to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the outer reef, I've never worried too much about stingers. Closer to shore, I would be more cautious. You can hire stinger suits from the island operators. I think you'd get away without needing one.

Right - finally getting caught up.

1/ I hate youse all

2/ I have found a flight back from LOTFAP so that you lot can be blessed with my presence

3/ The DYKWIA Society refuses to pay the going rates on offer on MEL-CNS flights on the Friday - so unless I make a 55 min INT-DOM connection - then the Friday night isn't gonna happen for me.

4/ Count me out for the daytime activities on Sat/Sun

5/ I'll be at the Sat dinner - I'll take Salmon/Lamb/Tart - just the way Tony Hancock likes it.

6/ Payment next week JT - got to hustle.

7/ I'm at the Hilton at this stage but may relinquish my coveted booking due to budget constraints.

I am on QF 786 arrive Thursday night Staying at CNS Hilton

I depart on QF649/627 for MEL on the Monday at 12.30 why fly direct when you can connect especially as it is 150% SC

I would like Salmon Lamb and Crepes.

Payment will be made next week

I am doing Saturday activities but not Sunday

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

What a very fine looking event this will be. It's got everything: a great group of people [ plus a couple of ring ins ] delicious sounding food, great trips planned in a gorgeous location, and is close by.

And I'm going to have to voyeur from afar.. sigh..

I just realised I have booked two rooms at the DT on the Saturday night (my mattress running got me confused!)
If anyone would like a king city mt view room for 2 adults, it was booked some time ago at a very good price.

Okay, I am all paid up. Dinner choices are Salmon/Lamb/Crepes. With just under two weeks to go I'm so excited!

Have paid for Mrs SMJ and myself to attend Kuranda and dinner Saturday night.

We’re staying at the Pullman Cairns International, will be at the Hilton for collection for the Kuranda tour.

Meal choices for dinner are;

• SMJ – Smoked salmon, prawns and chocolate fudge cake
• Mrs SMJ – Soup, gnocchi and lemon meringue

Our flight details on the spreadsheet are correct.

There is barely a week to go before the catering cut off.

I will most likely be attending the dinner on Saturday evening only. Unfortunately, my planning model is often JIT, and that weekend will be no exception. I'll make sure I confirm details by the due date of next Tuesday 13th October. My flights up are looking most likely to be on the Friday night, not the Thursday night. I'm thinking if I get a chance, I may drive up to Kuranda on the Saturday and meet up with some of you, however, having just moved into a new home, I've still got a fair bit of unpacking to get through.

Edit: I see payment is due by 10th October, so I'll confirm by then.
