It looks like I'll be flying on Friday, not Thursday now - I've got upgrades confirmed on both flights. It'll be interesting to see if the Reward seat gets released back to inventory, which means you could confirm a points-upgrade if you want. I'll let you know when I ring up to change the flight.

I don't have any points left with Virgin. Used them all on a business seat flight to Brisbane 2 weeks later. (I collect QF points)

The exec lounge has improved in recent times IMHO. It is on the small side, but the staff are quite friendly.
