Due to a major mixup with my ex "ball 'n' chain" I have my offspring this week and have had to cancel (for a 2nd time ) My trip to an AFF meet.
*bump*
Apart from pushing up this important Do, just putting in the melting pot that I've reseved my accommodation: 2 nights at the Hilton ADL.
But for which month

On the other hand.. if you are stuck for a place to eat, you're welcome at humble abode... Just let me know first.
cheers
Where is your place of humble abode sris?
Alright..... the winery thing seems to be a flop, and it's getting a bit close with not enough commitment to book, so an alteration to the itinerary.
Suggested Plan
Friday Night
Welcome drinks @ The Tap Inn (Welcome to The Tap Inn) - 5 min taxi ride max, and over 70 taps including 54 'wines on tap':shock:
Saturday
09:30 - 17:00
Car Rental - I'm happy to drive, then we can go wherever/whenever/not be restricted by time. Will include some tasting of the grape varieties, and a lunch at a nice vineyard.
19:00 - 22:30
Mapo - Korean Restaurant - Adelaide - Dinner @ Mapo Korean Restaurant (average cost of 3 course meal ~$50)
Sunday
Cricket (Test match day 3, Australia v New Zealand) 10.30am->5.30pm $27 for general admission
or
TBA -- any ideas :?:
Well, looking at the cheapest option of about $650 all in, I'm not prepared to stump up that much and then only have 4 people say they will go on it... YMMV.

Think of the points
Hire a car and drive down to McLaren Vale for Vino Tasting/Lunch; it's only a ¾ hour drive back to the airport; drop car off at airport; hit QP; float home ...

Lunch ideas - not sure of any great places.... My friend said there's a nice cafe called Chocolate Bean (no surprises what they specialise in), but I'm thinking not many of the attendees have a sweet tooth....
