AFF Medical Meet?

Accommodation booked at grand hyatt. Most probably doing a student project orientated research study of multi level vaccination to combat Mycobacterium tuberculosis

Looks like a case for a "Diamond" standard room reward for 50K HHonors points.

Hmm. Are these refundable?
HHonors award bookings are generally fully refundable up until the afternoon of the day of booked arrival, but the cancellation rules do very.

In this case:
[h=3]Cancellation Policy[/h] If you wish to cancel, please do so by 4pm, hotel local time, on the day of arrival to avoid cancellation penalties.

Eligibility criteria to attend
Having discussed with an AFFer about them attending as an exhibit i have realised that the eligibility criteria to attend this seems to be
"ever having chatted to a member of the medical , nursing or allied health professions" EVER!

Works for me!

see you there

Princess and i will discuss more on the weekend

I don't have my full diary on me as I'm currently in Chile but I think I could do Sat Mar 2.
Now that I'm home, I note I have other committments on this day so I'm a scratching.

I have a leave pass, flights and a points' paid night at the Westin. I say if we don't hear from anyone else soon we pick a restaurant between us and post it here and see who commits

the old herding cats in evidence here I reckon

It wouldn't be an AFF do otherwise!

Meow! :p :p

Confirming that [not a] Dr penegal will unfortunately be a scratching. My flights to Longreach are locked in, so I can't make it. We will be sure to take lots of photos at the Qantas Outback Founders Museum.

I look forward to the next 'conference'.

I can't remember if I said already, but I'm a scratching - am in MEL the weekend before and can't justify 2 trips in a row.

Ok slack cough phase over which I suppose is my own fault!
How many are actually going to turn up?
As I said I will be on my back from teh Avalon air show but am happy to book somewhere for dinner but suppose I should get some numbers
The talks session is probably not a goer but we can always swap war stories in a bar somewhere

Why dont we get some numbers then we can do a booking somewhere
I'm at the hilton sw with no exec lounge access unless I get upgraded( unlikely with a 3 night stay)

Any suggestions as to where we eat are welcomed

I'll be there
I have heard recent good reports of Chin Chin Restaurant...but they'll only let one booking of ten to twelve happen

I have eaten very well at Pearl

But as an AFF beginner I am happy to sit back and go with the flow (such as it is at the moment :))

I am at the Westin (on points of course)

I like Chin Chin. The food and wine have both been quite good in my experience.

It is one of the new wave of "walk up" resturants. They don't take reservations (except in the case of a 1 larger group table). Diners are reuired to walk up, put their name down, and wait for a table to become available. Given Chin Chin's popularity, for a Friday or Saturday evening, you can expect an extended wait (~ hours) unless you book that larger table.

FWIW, I like eating at these no reservation places at 'odd' times when there is no queue, or just at the start of the busy patch. (e.g. "Lunner" or "Dinnch" - halfway between lunch and dinner).
