AFF Member Stock Discussion

Well @prozac we have never had the displeasure of having AMP ever.
QBE recovered, Steadfast and AUB are ok.
We did have some IAG notes and got out without loss.
AMP was our business default super at work for a while and so we saw their struggles until we changed.
Booktopia is a company my Mrscove loves but their struggles continue with them suspended from trading on the ASX.

Sold all mine close to the high around $21 odd. Sadly bought some back at about $9 when they were dropping. Don't try and catch a falling sword comes to mind. I am older now.

So another year has ended.
Looks like we may have an interest rate increase by August. This could really hurt so many borrowers.
The big four banks have continued cutting branches and staff numbers because they can.
ANZ is getting Suncorp’s bank.
We did sell some CBA around $119 only to see them continue to rise.
Our best investment was GDG and worst was Kalium Lake that failed.
Booktopia is now trying to get refinanced.
Monday will be the start of another financial year.

Hmm.. I was tempted to sell a few cba but vacillated, takeaway is that sometime ditherers win and sometimes they don't….
The share remains overpriced and the angst engulfing the sellers is really just missing a bit of cream on the top.
My heart says ride and my head says bail….

Ignore your heart and your head. The chart says hold.

I said this back in February:
This seems highly unlikely to me. CBA has recently traded into all time highs having been range bound from June 2021 to December 2023. Housing credit, i.e. mortgages, are becoming easier to obtain therefore banks, in general, will make more money which will push share prices up.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

CYC for me
I don’t drink so - if I win - will choose a worthy recipient who can make the best case for it bei g theirs

I will go with LTR - Liontown Resources. Start the new year at 90.05c down about 70% in the current FY.

I’m on Immuron, IMC. Stating number $0.087.

The big order of their main product from US DoD is already priced in, but I’m hoping for more upside or a breakthrough with anything they have in clinical trials at present.

Very generous CE. Knowing my skill at stock picking this one will disappear off the ASX. I'll go with AEE. Last close $0.14

WAF did a placement at $1.37 yesterday to fast track getting to 400,000 ozs of gold production by 2026.
We like WAFs prospects and you have to remember it is in Africa so that can be a risk.
