AFF Member Stock Discussion

Another strong day... have we waved goodbye to the bottom???

No communication regarding the NAB SPP. Anyone else?

CCL shares have jumped above $16 US tonight so lots of folks must be booking cruises with the Carnival Cruise Line Group.
Actually one of my colleagues from the US has booked a cruise out of Sydney in late September this year. I wonder if that will happen with Sydney still struggling with COVID-19 cases not getting to zero.
Perth just copped a sheep transport ship into Fremantle Harbour with a group of sailors who are unwell. They have been quarantined for two weeks.

I'm glad I bought my shares a couple of weeks ago

Here you go:

Looks like they grabbed what they could!

"Given the strong support shown by eligible shareholders, NAB has decided to increase the SPP size by A$750 million above its original target of A$500 million, raising a total amount of A$1.25 billion under the SPP. Approximately 98% of applicants will receive at least their pro-rata allocation.

Approximately 88 million new fully paid NAB ordinary shares (SPP Shares) will be issued to successful applicants on Tuesday, 2 June 2020 at an issue price of $14.15 per SPP Share, representing approximately 2.8% of NAB’s ordinary shares on issue."

I'd give a higher chance to the cruise going ahead than them being allowed to travel to Australia. But both pretty low.

The rebound in some shares is somewhat surprising in my view.

Even Norwegian Airlines, after being substantially diluted (old shareholders own 5% of the company) by lessor conversion have seen a massive jump.

This doesn't clearly indicate how the pro rata operates.
Totally agree, aside from guaranteeing me a minimum of $2490 worth per holding I'm in the dark as to how many I'll actually get. I suspect some who didn't read the fine print will have sold pre-SPP finalisation thinking they will get the whole lot and now suspect they will be disappointed.

Did they base that on a minimum of your holding? Or so long as you were registered with them and held shares no matter the value, you were guaranteed that minimum?

Had a look at a UK property company’s statements tonight called LAND and they have to deal with quite a few tenants closing or going into administration or some other form of bankruptcy. I am not ready for that one just now.
Kogan has gone up despite their poor after sale /service reputation.
So far my AMA panel and paint business shares have gone ok. I figured there would be some really cough drivers coming out of isolation combined with wet roads.
The big 4 banks finally had a bounce so that NAB share purchase plan is in the money.
i took up United Malt share purchase plan yesterday.
