AFF Member Stock Discussion

There are good volumes of shares traded in ABB. That is helpful if you are thinking short term.

The risk of buying tiddlers is the company can wade into the market and raise new funds with a placement at a lower price than you paid. You can try to be considered by calling the company. We will do that with Firebird.
We were missed by VEEM but we can take up two share purchase plans if we want seeing we have two different named holdings.

Pepper which is PPM has just had Macquarie put a $3.25 target on them. Because we averaged down we are ok despite taking up the issue.
Thinking about Z2U as we took some @ 20 cents and they went up a lot.
Tonight we have 20% of Z2U left as the new issue went to a very high price.
We bought Resimac today.

Just under 12 years ago we bought shares in an unlisted company. This company has struggled and now has declared a maiden dividend. Overnight success…..NOT.
Now that we are older or as our sons would say ancient we will try hard to avoid investing in unlisted companies….
We invested in a couple of Sydney hotel syndicates and the current pandemic has pretty much iced the income seeing Sydney is pretty much locked up. Naturally we are hoping we don’t need to wait 11 years for these two.
So far we had to put more funds into one of the hotel syndicates and the other one is going ok.

Transurban
Of that, $3.97 billion will be through a 1 for 9 entitlement offer to eligible shareholders at a price of $13 — an 8.3 per cent discount to its closing price of $14.18 on Friday

Most of us have some Transurban shares we would think and we all think about selling some bur rarely do that.
Probably one of the most kept shares on the ASX.

Just missed FMG Fortescue at the close by 10 cents. Not really worried about that tonight.
Received TVL allocation in the IPO from Bell @40 cents.
Put our Healthia bid in too late so missed that placement today @ $1.80.
@MARTINE we never bought CSL….my BAD….
Back into the office tomorrow and have a Strata Meeting tonight out at Scarborough Beach. There is never a meeting of the minds as there are 157 units.

Bell Potter just sent me the meeting recordings for more than 40 companies that presented at their most recent conference. Not sure if you all get this data.

you all get this data..
I got the email too…..getting it is easy enough ( we have been with bp longer than they have been bp ) ..
Having the motivation and interest to trawl through it all…….is something else….
I have sat through a lot of Peter Quinton spiels …..

I don't get it and I don't have the slightest interest in any of it. Not really much point in wading through 40 sales pitches when you can just read a chart.

Not sure if you class NSR as a behemoth but it's also not really an up and comer either, but that would be one suggestion.
