Didn't you mean "I have never understood why QLD is so backwards"9am to 3pm for us Queenslanders, so not quite such silly hours as WA. Other than the "curtains fading and the cows not being able to sleep", I have never understood why QLD is so backwards in its attitude towards DST.
Same. Plus Annual Reports! We are getting deluged with dividends and not all of them are franked. BSE, CMW and CQE are not franked.

Very happy, super fund in pension mode so no tax consequences, took a punt and bought (as it turned out) on Friday about half what I sold at $100, the rest today at $102.90 so after costs, a clear profit of about $15.50 a share once I get my franking credits back from next years tax. Didn't really want to sell but stupid not to take a certain STAG profit which is why I bought straight back even though I'm not sure they won't go lower in the short term.Pretty happy with this ( AFR On line):
CBA announced the final buyback discount of 14 per cent on shares against a market price of $103.05 on Monday morning. Investors will receive $88.62 for each share successfully tended including a $21.66 capital component and a fully franked dividend of $66.96.
But large scale back
Commonwealth Bank’s $6 billion buyback has been swamped by yield-hungry investors, forcing the bank to scale back shareholders heavily after the offer was oversubscribed by $18 billion.

You know you own shares in too many companies when you get (what I assume are dividend) payments dropping into your bank account when you have no idea what they are for!
A payment for this turned up yesterday:
'Tombador Iron Li Ref'
But I have no idea what it is. It's possible that it may not even be a dividend payment. Anyone recognise it?
Thanks for the info @odysseus. What you write seems plausible, but:I'm guessing you held shares in TI1.
Not a divided, but they ran an unmarketable parcel sale facility a couple of months back, and you were likely enrolled in that, and this is the payout.
I still get the odd letter about what I’m going to do with 2 shares in AMP my mother owned and she died over a decade ago!!Thanks for the info @odysseus. What you write seems plausible, but:
1) I have no record of purchasing shares in this company. So I have no idea how I acquired them. They may have been a spin off from another company?
2) I've never received any correspondence from this company, including, but not limited to an unmarkateble sale occurring.
All seems very strange.
Use your SRN or HIN and log into the registry portal and have a look there. Usually you can get a “single holding view” if you don't already have a registered account. Thanks for the info @odysseus. What you write seems plausible, but:

AMP are currently offering to buy small shareholdings brokerage free. You can then enjoy the fruits of her investment ….. $2.26I still get the odd letter about what I’m going to do with 2 shares in AMP my mother owned and she died over a decade ago!!

More than 20 of these so will take some time to go this route.Use your HIN and log into the registry portal and have a look there. .
Don't recognise that either.Resa group (RE1)? They became Tombador Iron last year.
Any thoughts on the GQG Partners Inc float?
Did they have a habit of charging fees to deceased persons?I still get the odd letter about what I’m going to do with 2 shares in AMP my mother owned and she died over a decade ago!!
