AFF Member Stock Discussion

I purchased 2 parcels of TLS and I'm hanging on for the time being as the dividend is still pretty good.
I did get some FMG during the week but I should have got in when I first looked. This is what happens when you get talked out of something.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda…

That would be a very long thread.

Yes we never bought CSL nor Cochlear. Shoulda, coulda, woulda but didn’ta.
Instead we did get some duds…..
First trip booked to fly to Los Angeles in July to spend some expiring miles.

My father who is approaching ninety and loves shares always refers to them like toilet seats - up/down you never know who you follow! It’s always good to have some rats/mice (losses) in the mix to balance out the overall cap gain… if you’re not way ahead overall in the market after at least a few years ..maybe time to rethink the strategy … not talking corrections here ..IMHO

PS - I also to avoid the shoulda etc about the one that got away🤣… not always successful though

Today we applied for APM which is a new float.
Impedimed IPD are raising funds today. We will probably take up the share purchase plan.
MQG are now over $200. Go Macquarie Bank.
We did lots of voting over the weekend.
Finally we got our votes lodged for Waterco about an hour before the cut off time.

We still have some WOR, IFL and CGF in our family holdings.
Never had NAN so we had to look that one up. Didn't see any urgency to get in there.
City Chic plans are interesting so that is one we love.
Don't look to me for medical stuff nor oil and gas. We have never done too well in those sectors.

Good timing there @MooTime on NAN.
One of my brokers suggested Chimeric this morning.
West Africa are rattling the tin for money. There is a share purchase plan.

NO way I saw a 6% (now 7%) rise day after I bought, quite funny really.

Will hold & see where it goes, just thought I'd post.

I'm bit over Share Purchase plans, so so often the SP drifts down & below the offer price. I highly doubt I'll participate in another ever again for this reason.
brokerage fee don't bother me, incidental cost.

cheers

Yes sometimes it can take months to absorb an overhang of shares from a placement and/or a share purchase plan.
West African issue at 32 cents took ages to find long term holders. That is WAF. They are up about a dollar.

As per my post #1869 …So my little speculative foray into NSR up 5%. Good results announced on the balance sheet today with expansions planned. TBC

At a years high with NSR @MARTINE. Very good.
We took a placement in West Africa @$1.25 to help them develop into a 400,000oz gold producer if everything goes to plan. That one is WAF.
We traded Kalium Lakes today to improve the profit we made earlier this month on KLL.
We bought Codan as they dropped about 20% today. Great company at a good price today.

Would you say it's a buy now??

Good god no! It's trading below its moving averages and is in an obvious down trend. You have no idea how much lower it will go.

That said, the $13.90-$14.00 range has provided support for the last 4 weeks but there is no previous price action at that level to suggest it could be a firm level of support.
