Bought some Reece, Atlas Arteria, Tuas and Judo as well as some CBAPM.
Didn’t get all the Reece as the price jumped.
Tonight will be interesting with POTUS getting off the golf course.

We are quite liquid atm for a contingency unrelated to the market otherwise I may have shopped in first hour or two.

We had sold a pile of shares in early March as we decided to buy a lifestyle asset in April.
Mrscove is very excited that we are not investing everything and our consulting will finish this year.
Had a very good call with Energy Action today.
We are flying to Adelaide tomorrow afternoon.

FMG just blended in to another day in the red. Unsure to buy more but if it takes another dive who knows

US futures are looking better than they were a few hours ago

US futures are looking better than they were a few hours ago

Yes - not quite sure why - I haven't seen any news that would lead to an improvement in the mood over there, but Dow futures were down about another 4.3% a few hours ago but now "only" down about 1.7%.

As for what I'm going to buy - and when, I haven't yet seen anything that is really attractive, and I think the markets still have about another 20% to go before the bottom is in - unless deals are suddenly struck at the White House.

China is one of the biggest holders of US Treasuries. If they stopped buying them life could get even more interesting (pun intended). I don't know what the alternative destination for those funds would be though as China doesn't want the CNY to go up.

Yes I realise that . If the market for US Treasuries softens due to a buyers strike they will be issued at higher interest rates to get them away which means US Government will pay more to finance its debt. This is one lever China could employ in retaliation for the tariffs.
