ASB SPP shares allocated today.

Quick 14% profit for tying my money up for about 10 days.

The US is now raising tariffs to China to 104%. It is difficult to keep up. I hope the iPhone stocks app is updated to include tariff levels as they are changing so frequently.
It won't be long before we will be able to buy some iPhone's in Australia - fly to the U.S. with them and sell them for enough to pay for the ticket - it could be a new form of status run!

CSL down over 5% today which is much bigger than market decline. Anyone any insights? I am getting interested at these levels.

It got below $230. I tried to get on at that price, but it moved very quickly back up.

$230 is my buy in price.

NWH also down by more than 5% and starting to look attractive.

At the moment I'm only putting buy orders in a long way down the order on some stocks that I think people might liquidate if they face margin call problems - I still think that there is likely to fall another 20% before the bottom is in. It looks like Europe is reimposing some old 25% tariffs on the U.S. as a first step.

That's a different issue with certain members of the global, billionaire, elite buying vast swathes of farmland. As if they don't control enough of our lives, as it is!
How about water security? Here at home we have Chinese company bought Cubby Station with huge water rights and at the headwaters / source of the Murray darling water system. In the US Arab countries, particularly the UAE are criticised for buyig large acreage with water rights to grow alfalfa and other silage crops to export to dairy farms back in the UAE. Critical because people in California are encouraged to conserve water and yet feed crops are water intensive and draining the water table to the chagrin of farming groups.

The reciprocal tariffs have been paused, but china now gets 125% tariff “Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World's Markets”

The 10% baseline tariff remains for all other countries, as does steel tariff.
