Ok. We are in. Room booked at Hilton SYD. Night of the 4th. So hopefully we are not the only ones attending (lol).

We could also organise a dinner if GPH and ALH have no plans on the Tuesday night. I'm sure a couple of AFFers (including those who rarely post) would love a get together.

So long as it doesn't clash with happy hour at the Hilton executive lounge ðŸ

Mrs GPH is insistent! :-)

I think it's time for "The Education of Mrs GPH" :)

I don't get the attraction of lounges anymore. Fine if you have nowhere else to go (you're in transit at an airport), but why would you volunteer to spend extra time in one, when you're in a major city which offers far better food, drinks and views. Heck, we're even offering to bring you good drinks for free! :)

I can't comment. As I have never enjoyed the delights of the Hilton executive lounge in SYD. I am a mere male and I do as I am told. :-)

Waot, are you really going to bring something from your collection? :)

GPH, do yourself a favour. Tell ALH that I told her she is coming with you. Go to dinner with Anonymous Coward and any others that turn up. His wines are sublime (so his cellar must be stupendous). Neither of you will be disappointed. I have had the joy of being to two lunches where he supplied some of the wines.

The wines (and the food) at the Hilton Exec Lounge will pale in comparison, in fact they won't rate beside them. Now trust me, I'm a financial planner :D :p

To be fair, the vast majority of hotel exec lounge wine is complete garbage... The only thing it has going for it is the price (Free!).

Life is too short to drink such mass produced garbage. You could drink drain cleaner and you would probably have a better stomach in the morning.

Count me in for lunch too.

I have daddy sleep-time duties in the evenings, which I cherish (everybody tells me they grow up too quickly).

If this Langtons prize turns up before the 4th, and we have sufficient numbers to justify opening a Magnum, then we can always open the Diana Madeline Magnum.

Now that would just about pip a Hilton Lounge wine! Well, it would for me!

And if there was cross-over with somebody attending the lunch and the dinner, then I could always leave the rest of the bottle to share with others in the evening.

Cheers, Wozza
