Mercury, is kind of like liquid platinum, shiny but a little bit slippery. I'm just negotiating the details with my new employer. :)

Oh dear. I'm sure someone will be able to lend a hand.

Great that so many of you can make our next Sydney AFF Wine Lovers catch up.

I've just booked a table of 10 at Ambar for 12:30 pm, 4 July 2017.

(For those not familiar with its location, head to the corner of Martin Place and Castlereagh St and you will see some steps off Martin Place leading up to the MLC Centre and some restaurants and bars, above the food court. Ambar is the first restaurant on the right at the top of those steps. If you've never met us before - just look for the bottles (note plural!) of wine on the table - that will be us!!).

I'm happy to bring the wine, unless somebody is very keen to share their wine. I have the Diana Madeline 2004 in magnum format. But very happy to bring that another time, if somebody else wants to be the wine bearer.

If more people are thinking of coming, then just say. It will be easy to amend the booking. It's Winter. They won't be overrun with patrons.

Looking forward to seeing those that are coming ...

Cheers, Wozza

Given we have about 10 people coming, I think this is probably one of the few opportunities to actually get through a magnum! 150ml each.
I have a magnum of 2004 Coppermine Road, if we want to do a compare/contrast between the two, but that might be too much wine - otherwise I can bring a single bottle of something - either another vintage of Cullen DM, or something lighter to kick us off. I have some Kanonkop Pinotage if people are interested to try something different.
