Shame, Sammy. If you can, it would be lovely to catch up again.

The wine share bottles and contribution to lunch are raring to go:

Looks great. I think I might just be sold in to joining you for the next one. Meetings, and diary dependent. Impressive effort if you got through all that wine over lunch. Some interesting afternoons for you al I'm sure..

Most of the wine you see in the pictures was share a case swaps, amongst the regular Sydney Wine Lovers.

Delectable Blue brought along a fine aged bubbly from Tassie, the Diana Madeleine 2004 was opened, as was AnonymousCoward's Domain A 2000. That's more than we usually open. But it was DB's birthday. And we did have a few special guests from far afield.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DB.

We tend to go for quality over quantity, particularly as we have to work in the afternoons!

Hopefully you can join us next time. It would be great to meet you.

Cheers,

Wozza

Viridianne and had already put theirs away,so this was only your end of the table

Lovely to celebrate DB's birthday with his bubbles - I don't regularly invite Champagne so it was a very nice way to start the afternoon.

The DM 2004 was very well aged, smooth across the palate and I was left rueing that I haven't any in my cellar. The Domain A was a fuller bodied, mouth full of fruit surprise. Must look it up.

Hell yes, some of us had to get to Qantas HQ and meet the former Red Roo. You went back to work but did you get any effective work done this afternoon?

Great to see everyone again today! Also to offload accumulated wines and get new acquisitions!

We were privileged to sample:
- Stefano Lubiana Grande Vintage 2008
- Cullen Diana Madeline 2004
- Domaine A 2000

For mine, the Domaine A was the pick of the cab blends. The Cullen was all-class, but side-by-side, clearly overshadowed by the Domaine A, at this stage of their respective development.

well, I finally made it, thanks to Wozza and AC for the opportunity to experience their respective wines. however I will need to bring something to the next one.
so do we have any estimated dates ? should we canvas more than one? just in case we need to cater for everyone and their ability to attend?
I am definitely a fan

Oooh, yes please, I hear your cellar is replete with French...

Oops. I need to do some reading.
Even though I have a bit on over the next two months. I'm sure there will be some spare dates that will work.

:-)

Wonderful to see some cross-pollination between SYD and BNE!

Thank you Wozza, AC and DB for the lovely wines. (and happy birthday, DB!)

I look forward for the next one.
