As Friday night approaches it’s time for a couple of important reminders:

1) For anyone who is still tentative, can you please let me know if you are likely or unlikely to make it before the end of tomorrow (even if you don’t know for certain), so I can confirm the restaurant booking.

2) The theme is Western Australian wines. Once you have decided what to bring, please PM me with the details so I can ensure that we won’t have any double-ups, and can arrange a run-sheet for the night. Please let me know what you will be bringing by Thursday (5-Jan) at the latest. Also, please obscure your wine before arriving at the restaurant. Aluminium foil or a brown paper bag are recommended.

3) There will be a blind wine-swap operating on the night. If you would like to participate in the swap, please bring along a second bottle to go into the draw. As a guideline we would suggest a minimum RRP of $30 for swap wines. The wine swap is not compulsory.

4) Please bring along cash for your meal. It is anticipated that the meal will be $52 per head, including corkage.

5) The restaurant is the Sky Phoenix in Centerpoint Tower. We are booked in for 6pm. The booking will be in my name (Brian not DB).

I am so sorry, I hate pulling out of things like this.. I have a work commitment that requires a 4am start Sat morning..

1 option is to go straight from the AFF wine meet up or get a few hours zzzzz, I have gone with the sleep option.

We'll be drawing lots for the swap wines, so they don't need to be obscured. I'll be bringing mine in gift bags, just to make them easier to handle.
