AFR's Joe Aston goes BAM!

....which is still at best unusual and at worst incorrect, as corporeal strictly means "of the body", i.e. usually referring to a living being.

What the heck was wrong with saying "physical" or "printed" form?
corporeal can be used as a fancy way of saying physical...

Mind, the fact they were banned can't have amounted to really much for them except some fame and/or notoriety.

As if they were missing out on so much when the "ban" was in place. So putting them back is similarly no big deal, but of course they'll milk it for all its worth, even from a purely principled point of view.

Personally glad they have cut back on printed newspapers in the lounges.

Nothing worse than have a neighbouring passenger bring one on board and then encroach into your space as they struggle to fold/unfold a broadsheet or even smaller paper.

If you want to red news onboard do it in digital form.

Joe Aston‘a latest piece is a real scorcher:
that's absolutely priceless!

Another brutal missive from Joe Aston. This time it's aimed at Richard Goyder.
That's another classic. I like this line:

Remember, Joyce (with his brother’s help) designed the algorithm for overbooking flights at Aer Lingus 30 years ago on the basis that a percentage of passengers never turn up. That’s how he made a name for himself at the start of his career, and he’s ended it the same way. He’s optimised revenue to the point where it’s now the planes that don’t show up for the flights. It’s a logical extension.

What’s unclear from the story was who Judas is in this scenario?🤔

If you thought you as a passenger receiving denied boarding is a pain, imagine entire aircraft being denied boarding of passengers!

I loved the sub title.
Six weeks before the company’s AGM, members of the Qantas board are in more cough than a sewage farm duck.

Joe Aston, doing the lord's work one article at a time. Love it.
